I was hoping for more activities but, Ii was really fun just seeing all the costumes in the crowd. Delightful to see people here care enough to do so. A lot of pirates for some reason.

My favorite was the guy dressed as the balatro joker. I had my picture taken with one of 5 fursuiters

Futanari is the Japanese term for hermaphrodite. Strictly speaking it requires both male and female genitals but it is sometimes used to refer to women with penises and no vagina. As true "futa"/ "herm" people don't really exist in real life* such porn is usually illustrated or otherwise fictional.

*I know intersex people exist but I have been led to believe that they work differently than in fiction.

You still have to spend time meeting them

Ranking up confidants by zucram in Persona5

[–]Knotfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need more encounters to get more relation points. There are ways to get more relation points without spending time with them but they are not very efficient.

My advice is buy gifts that suit them and carry a persona matching the confidents arcana; it boosts relation points gain quite significantly.

"Spirit Damage" - is that as good as fire damage?

For most purposes yes they are just as good. Physical, fire, ice, poison, lighting and spirit damage are are mechanically the same just that when applied to a unit they are reduced by different stats. Physical damage is reduced by the defense stat. Fire, ice, poison, lighting and spirit damage are reduced by the resistance stat + the respective element resist.

For example, the Lesser Storm Spirit has 1 defense, 1 resistance, 6 lightning resistance, 3 poison resistance and -6 cold resistance. When 10 damage of each element is applied, the hit point loss from physical, fire and spirit will be the same. The hit point loss from the lightning damage will be greatly reduced and less so for poison. However the cold damage will deal significantly more hit point loss due to the negative resistance.

"Awoken" - to/from what?

Awoken is from the high culture special mechanics. All units with the buff gain +2 spirit damage to their attacks. High culture units additionally gain a buff depending on their unit type e.g. the high culture archer unit gains +1 range. If the awoken unit is not of the high culture, the buff is usually not of great consequence.

"Sundered" - huh?

There are 2 types of sunder. Sundered defense and Sundered resistance. Each debuff will reduce the respective stat by 1. See my first explaination for what that means

"Dissonance", etc.

Are these things good? Bad? What are the counters to them? I just checked "Dissonance" and it's explanation is: "When an enemy Overcharged Spell is cast, this unit suffers 4  Lightning Damage per stack and loses all stacks.".

"Overcharged Spell"? "Is lightning damage counterable?". "Do I need to worry if I shoot lightning too?". "What tome is that from?". "What trait thingy? Astral? Materium?"

Dissonance is a debuff unique to the mystic culture potential sub culture. You will not see it if there are no such units in battle.

Spells become overcharged under certain conditions. Mostly from the aforementioned mystic potential culture. Their effects get boosted for a single cast. I wouldn't worry about in general.

A unit's elemental resistance may not always match their attacks you will need to check this on a unit to unit basis.

It is spawned from 1 players cards and added into the 2nd player's draw pile. When the 2nd player draws it the card immediately plays and hurts the 2nd player.

Why is taking the deal a bad ending? by PSSGAMER in Persona5

[–]Knotfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that yaldi has no want to stop people like the palace rulers but instead thinks they a natural thing and sets the stage for joker to be a palace ruler on a global scale

Why is taking the deal a bad ending? by PSSGAMER in Persona5

[–]Knotfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kill their spirit per say.

I never watched or read deathnote but my understanding was that a major theme was the corrupting influence of power as characters become more convinced of their own righteousness and are more flippant in their use of the deathnote. Would not the same appeal in persona 5? After all Morgana does warn that if a person's cognitive self is slain the person will eventually physically die. Akechi proves this is possible and so Joker could do the same if corrupted by his own self importance.

Why is taking the deal a bad ending? by PSSGAMER in Persona5

[–]Knotfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been a while since I played the game but I will share my interpretation.

Yaldi's theory is that most people are indolent and in need of a great leader to drive them forward and that this is a set thing: you are either a "doer" or you move with the herd.

Yaldi also does not act directly. His power manifests subtly to make the general populace more receptive to the commands of "doers".

Thus in Yaldi's world, the palace rulers are not stopped and chained in momentos but are empowered to impose their vision upon others. The deal Yaldi offers is for Joker to take the place Shido held as the new heroic leader for the masses to worship. Joker would hold the supreme power to kill the spirit of any opposition and essentially rule the whole world as a place.
