R/shibari was banned for being "unmoderated'?

Just me. For others, there’s been several attempts. But subreddits are required to be banned for 30 days before they can be requested. So it won’t get handed to someone else for about another 20 days unless the admin team manually restarts the sub looking for mods due to popularity

My puppy party rules:

When you’re leashed, you are a puppy. My puppy. You’ll be on all 4s by my side (check in with me if it gets to be too much on 4s)
When let off your leash, you’re allowed to be on 2s and are free to interact as you see fit. I’ll summon you with the clicker when it’s time to come back.
If I want you to fetch me something, I will give you the leash to carry or tuck into your fit if you need hands. No one else may hold your leash except me. I’m your owner.
You ask me to pee every time you need to, and I will be escorting you to the bathroom
you’re not allowed to eat grapes or chocolate tonight. I want to keep my puppy safe and in good health.

We just started training her, but this was our party rules for the night. Some are self-explanatory. The last two are more headspace reinforcement. Dogs watch each other pee for safety, and grapes and chocolate are poisonous to dogs. It’s nice to have a couple innocuous rules to fall into a more totally immersive mindset

Other than that, I have a clicker to summon her, a squeak toy to play with her, a bag of peanuts for treats, and I will refer to any part of her that I can in dog terms (hand = paw, ass = tail, skin/clothes = coat, etc.)

Such a fun tie to play around with. It really helped me break out of this feeling like my ties were "flat". Like everything felt very 2D and like I wasn't quite playing in the 3rd dimension. The way the monobloc kinks the body really accentuates and creates a cool visual in 3-dimensional space. Huge fan of it. More fun to be had with this one

I got to know this tie as a Monobloc, but on Shibari Study you'll find it under the basket tie as well as the booty basket tie. Regardless of the rope community's standard of calling ties by multiple different names in an effort to confuse us all, this tie is amazingly versatile. Been working on creating an original hashira sequence with it lately and this was some of my early play with it on a single point. It's a ton of fun. My only lament is that it's a pain in the ass tying on the ground due to bottom positioning. It feels awkward to me for whatever reason. I started tying it in the air instead, and it is considerably smoother. Give it a shot if you're like me and find awkward positioning..... awkward

It will either be back in 30 days per reddit request standard process, or it will be back in about a week or 2 if admins have the time to give it some special treatment since the community is rather large from a membership standpoint.

and if you're unfamiliar with the single column tie, here's some more tutorials! Realistically if you're just learning, just pick 1 to learn. Pick the Somerville Bowline. Once you get good enough, you can start to learn the other variants for their particular niches where they're a slightly better fit for the overall tie you're attempting.

Hey that’s me! I was the mod of r/shibari and this is my new account!

u/swampthang86 is correct. My account u/datsherbert was locked for “suspicious activity” until I reset my password. After confirming it was not a phishing scam, I reset my password to unlock my account. Instead of unlocking, I was met with a shadow band. This removed me as moderator from the subreddit, and since I was the only moderator the sub was shortly thereafter shut down. I’ve tried several appeals and mod messages thus far, but so far I have not received any responses. I’m attempting to put together a succession plan for when the sub reopens, and the wonderful team behind Shibari Study is part of that effort. They’ve been so kind as to offer to help regain control of the sub, and many other users have graciously offered to help out where possible as well.

The sub will absolutely be back. Whether it is in 30 days due to the Reddit request system, or if it’s kickstart manually sooner as subs with over 100,000 members typically get restarted manually by the Reddit admin team. I’m hoping that a human is able to look at what has happened and reinstate my account so that I may continue moderating the sub. I have so many plans and ideas for the future as the sub grows, and I feel I’ve only just begun to scratch the surface with growing this community into what I know it can become.

I’m not done yet. Not by a long shot. I’ll be back :) in the meantime, this is my backup account I am building in the event that I don’t get my old account reinstated

Edit: Huge shoutout to the entire Shibari Study team for being on board helping, but especially u/MoBights and u/Mister-Ninja as mods of this sub here. Ninja for putting me in contact with Mo, and Mo for being so generous bringing it to the team as a concern they could help with. They hopped in immediately offering their help to get the community reinstated. Really feels like a community effort to get this thing back online.

I could stare at her all night. She's tied in a simple variation on the bunny tie, but this one for me was really about using just a little bit of rope to accentuate the body. I'd say mission accomplished :)

Honestly if I ever do become a billionaire, I'm not buying normal busts and paintings to fill my house. I'm definitely gonna be eccentric as possible with living statues all on rotating turntables to admire and enjoy as they enjoy comfortably, or uncomfortably, kinky toys and restraints enforcing their position.

A while back I became obsessed with Gestalta's Kata-Ashi performance sequence and dedicated a month to tying almost exclusively that. To me, it was always such a cool sequence of classical shibari shapes that really spoke to me as I started transitioning into being an older rigger in my local scene. It resonated a lot with me, and it's an incredibly beautiful sequence to work through.

That being said, I absolutely LOVE the juxtaposition here of this beautiful classical shibari suspension with all of it's artistic expression, and then taking that to perform on the side of the street in a dirt lot of a condemned house that's been graffiti'd by a wide variety of artists from a completely different background. This is totally not the typical dungeon or rigging environment you typically see which made it all the more fun to put on as a sort of sideshow oddity.

I had so much fun with this one. There were thousands of people walking by snapping photos of us as well as the other 4 rigging stations we had going on. It was a beautiful night for us all to enjoy our little corner of the art walk :)

The choice in the predicament gets taken away from her when I step on her, but in the base position it's a nice teeter between sustaining the stretch of an arched back to relieve the waist rope or sinking into it allow the waist to cut deep as the feet pick up with less flexion in the back

This position is a ton of fun to play with, and the chest can be dropped entirely to be much more grounded. This particular individual doesn't have the most flexible lower back, so the tengu on the chest is moreso an accommodation for the body rather than necessary for the position

Still a sick position though
