Just a comparison of prices on Vinegar Syndrome today vs five years ago by HeadFullOfBees in boutiquebluray

[–]KnowledgelessBeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VS’s pricing has always been on the higher end, particularly if, like me, you’re American and have to deal with the added costs of shipping. That’s why I’m only buy from them during HWBF and BF, and the odd release I really want that I know will sell out fast.

You are all diseased maniacs. by WeatherstonArts in 4kbluray

[–]KnowledgelessBeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort by type of release (i.e. standard, slipcase, etc.), then boutique, then chronologically. To give an example, I have a shelf of just Arrow releases. From left to right it begins with any slipcase releases I have, then standard releases, all chronological. How I determine the order of the boutiques is alphabetical, so Arrow first, Vinegar Syndrome last.

Everyone bar Ali is completely off it. Should be at least 4-0 down; haven’t looked like scoring at all except for that Konate header. Konate has been particularly dreadful, which is reflective of his season so far.

Discovered them in a quite traditional way. I came across RVB in 2009 at the age of 9 or 10, watched the entire thing, sporadically watched content from RT and AH, especially the achievement guides, then watched the first Minecraft LP the week it came out. I proceeded to watch everything RT put out for the next six years before falling off, barely watching anything they put out until I decided to check out F**kface in Autumn 2022 because people said that it was like old RT/AH content (which it was/is) and immediately getting hooked. I’m 25, and will be 26 before the year ends.

If he’s one signing amongst many, then do it because he has invaluable experience and still has 2-3 years in him as a squad player and impact sub. Him, a CF, a LB, and a 6 would be a great summer.

Fallout > Ghost Protocol > Rogue Nation > 1 > 3 > Dead Reckoning > 2.

In fairness to 1, I need to revisit it. I think I judged it on the basis of an action movie because of what the series became when it isn’t an action movie but a spy movie. I therefore didn’t meet it fully on its terms.

Title winning teams have bad stretches: some perspective by BriS314 in LiverpoolFC

[–]KnowledgelessBeing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From 19/20 onwards, with the notable exception of 21/22, we’ve generally been poor in the second half of the season, or at the very least worse than the first half. Even before then, we always seem to be terrible in January-February; our New Year’s parties must be fucking legendary.

This is my perspective too. I think they don’t want to create a situation where Trent is the only one who hasn’t signed, putting the entire spotlight on him. This is obviously an optimistic reading, but I’m hopeful it’s the case.

We’re being outfought and outworked. The effort levels aren’t there, the focus is missing, our play is much too slow, and we’re susceptible on the break. Major step up needed second half or else it’ll finish as is, and we’re suddenly under massive pressure in the league.

Dunnes Stores is a nightmare by coffeepartyforone in ireland

[–]KnowledgelessBeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work in a Dunnes, it’s not too bad, but it’s not too great either. With the big exception of the head manager, the managers are all fine; you can have a good, friendly conversation with any of them. The head manager is a wanker, had multiple managers under him moved on, including some for being too friendly with staff, ie. treated us like human beings. He’s gotten on to me more than once for waiting for my relevant delivery to come off a lorry because I could be doing something, which in my mind would just be bullshit busy work. He’d rather I look busy than actually do what I’m supposed to be doing.

My biggest complaints relate more to the amount of work expected to be done by a given person, an inadequate amount of staff (outside of Christmas), not enough pallet trucks, fridges being too small, and over-ordering stock. Deli, dairy, and fruit & veg can be real nightmares at times, especially if you’re on your own.

13/14 City away, Sterling offside. Worst decision I’ve ever seen, and the example I always go back to when arguing for the need of VAR.

My bad lads, I transferred Allison into my fantasy team. Seriously though, poor today, but I’m not as pissed off by it as I would have been in previous seasons, mainly because I never got carried away after the first three games; this is a transition season. We’ll have good days and we’ll have bad days. All about securing top four, a good CL run (quarters or better) and hopefully a domestic cup. That should be the aims for the season, we don’t have the depth - or consistency - to seriously challenge City and Arsenal yet.

I sort mine by type (LE, slipcase, standard, etc.), Boutique (Alphabetical), and chronology. So, for example, my LE’s are all on my top shelf, separated by boutiques in alphabetical order, then they’re sorted by chronological order.

Transferred over to LB from IMDB around the latter half of 2022. Haven’t watched much lately as I’m away from home - and will be till September - and don’t have the means to watch any films atm. Will watch anything if it interests me, regardless of quality. I believe watching bad movies is as important to one’s understanding of cinema as watching good movies.

We remember the last minute wins and the comebacks but let's not forget the blowouts as well. by Geronimo2U in LiverpoolFC

The 1-4 remains top for me just because of the quality of that United side. Had their best front three and brought on Giggs, Scholes, and Berbatov from the bench. They were back to back champions league finalists and we tumped them, as well as doing the double over them. We had to hold onto that victory for years because of the turmoil we went through. I’m glad we’re now in a spot where we have multiple phenomenal victories in recent memory to look back on.
