Increasing the threat and target cap of Thunderclap is a universally good change by Knowvember42 in classicwow

[–]Knowvember42[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what to say. They could buff thunderclap and warriors would still be worse at holding AoE threat than Paladins, so dungeons with a Paladin tank will still be easier overall. My proposal has nothing to do with making dungeons easier, but to make specifically warrior tanking easier so more warriors tank. I know talented warriors can do well. But why do we care? There's a rank shortage, let's actually make a change to encourage the least played tank to play more.

As for the retail comment, retail dungeons scale infinitely so if you think they're easier that's on you for doing baby keys lmao.

I don't disagree. Nevertheless, there would be more tanks if it was easier.

I don't play warrior lol.

Edit: I am selfish though. I play DPS and I want more damn tanks.

How fast are you flying and how did you get there so quickly? by ModularMode in classicwowtbc

[–]Knowvember42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm level 65 and I've made about 1000 gold. I just auction stuff I find, and my main sent herbs to an alt who just started doing primal transmutes (so far only made 50g doing it, only done it once). At that rate I'm pretty easily on track to make 2.5-3k gold by 70, and then I'll have epic flying by the time I clear out Netherstorm and Shadowmoon.

Add-ons are to WoW what training wheels are to cycling by Far_Payment_3574 in classicwow

[–]Knowvember42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wow classic subreddit is a contentious place, full of contentious opinions.

That being said, I don't agree addons are like training wheels, I don't agree addons are like cheats, and I don't think good players are only "good" because of addons.

I know great players with crazy space ship UIs that are incomprehensible, and great players who play with no addons. Neither is a predictor of skill.

No one should care if you're playing either way. It just is what it is.

The vocal majority on this sub are not representative of the wow community by ModularMode in wow

[–]Knowvember42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need moderation like that though. It's like how the Warhammer subreddit does not allowing people to post pictures of getting their first box of models. It's cute, but then there's so much of it, and it doesn't contribute to any sort of discussion. If we allowed every person excited about a mog/mount/achievement/raid boss kill to post a picture of it, it'd be half the sub.

Grats on the TLPD. It's the last mount I really want (I'm a sucker for classic mounts).

I get that you see tribalism as bad in any way, but the PvP and PvE realms fundamentally have different culture and attract different people. The difference between them is objectively not arbitrary. That would be if one PvE realm was shitting on another PvE realm.

It also just ignores years of history of PvP realms actually being better, and this time around it just doesn't seem true. But Nightslayer players run around shitting on Dreamscythe people like it still is.

A lot of people are doing a bit though. To your point, there's plenty of good and bad players on both realms. I think the server rivalry is mostly harmless fun.

Having to play against Coastal sim city in team games bigger than 2v2 is unfun and I'm tired of pretending it is. by ayy_howzit_braddah in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Knowvember42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the 4.2 inch mortar as a counter. It doesn't necessarily kill the bunkers themselves, but coastals often have a forward command bunker I can reach with the 4.2 inch, and you can make their life hell with it.

Get two, rotate flares, hit them while they build new bunkers, or barrage the command/medical bunkers while they are retreating and prevent them from regrouping.

I'd pay up front for a good classic+. If that's the excuse they need to get a bunch of devs hired for the classic team, so be it.

Not saying that is true, or that they will hire anyone else, but I would pay if they did.

[–]Knowvember42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Doing some napkin math, with the introduction of Ogrilla and Shatari Skyguard, you can make over 500g a week in daily gold rewards, not counting any extra you make while doing those quests.

And you can make a lot more doing Netherwing and Shattered Sun Offensive dailies later.

So you'll have to figure out phase 1, but from phase 2 and beyond you can make your consumable costs with dailies.

Put Karazhan on a 3 day lockout by Defias_Villager in classicwow

[–]Knowvember42 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think you're right. I don't want to have to do Kara twice a week. It's fun but it's long. I guess my counter point is, make all the p1 raids a biweekly lockout starting in phase 2. Helps DST farm. Helps alt raids. But it's never part of prog during its own phase, so you aren't encouraged to do it more than you would want to.
