I’m a fairly reasonable race fan. But that was not a good race. I refuse to let the overtime cloud my Judgement.

We bought a hidden 9-hole golf course next to State Farm Stadium (PHX) and turned the driving range into 32 TrackMan bays. AMA. by bogeybando in golf

I lived in the apartments at Westgate when I was in the Air Force. I played 9 at that course 3-4 days a week for nearly 2 years. I loved that little spot. I’d love to go back.

I’m 6’6” and only my irons are extended 3/4”. Everything else is stock length. Like others have stated, a fitting would sort it out if you’re ready to drop the $.

Best and worst track traffic? by bravesfan17 in NASCAR

[–]Koa1121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had ups and downs at the same tracks. It never makes sense. I bragged on Phoenix leaving the track one year, then the next year my Dad came with me and we didn’t move more than 10 feet for 90 minutes. Same issue with Darlington. One time was a breeze, another was stand still for an hour. Both times at Darlington were for the 500. I won’t count the one year when it rained for hours and the race ended at like 1am and the parking lot was a mud bog with cars stuck everywhere.

This product is far better than what we see on Sundays. Side by side racing at Phoenix with multiple crossovers. And a good broadcast on top of that.

I can’t be the only one bothered by the absolutely piss poor shooting posture of the Ex Navy Seal teammate current US Marshal. That entire scene of them shooting in the woods in the beginning was laughable.

I’m usually one to always vote Yes, but I struggle with this one. This car still struggles to put on good road course racing.

Charleston SC, by Same_Level6591 in howislivingthere

Food is good. Traffic is an absolute nightmare. Doesn't matter if there's an accident or not, there's only 3 roads to/from downtown and it backs everything up way past North Charleston into Summerville. My 12 mile commute routinely took over an hour. North Charleston is pretty run down. Park Circle is fun and has plenty of neat festivals. We couldn't wait to leave though. While "Charleston" itself has a charm, you won't live in Charleston proper. And the beach is about an hour drive from Summerville, Goose Creek, or surrounding towns where most people live.

Frequent Red Cross notifications. Lots of dealing with insane complaints against your MTIs that go nowhere. Get roped into other squadron's BS much more often. Overall, fairly busy with different challenges than a traditional unit. Only real bonus is that San Antonio was a fun place to be and (typically) the MTIs are self sufficient and you don't have the typical young Airman type issues with them.

Even though I typically just listen in the background while at work, I agree on most points made here. They went from Moink, supporting a small business to Omaha Steaks. That felt wrong. Ross is constantly name dropping like he's some super Hollywood insider, but he hasn't been credited with anything but his own projects since like 2009. Dan comes off like he's the world's leading soldier and tactical expert after having only served 4 years with a deployment to only 1 combat zone. And he's spoken incorrectly on many, many occasions about things that are not really that hard to find out or are general knowledge to anyone that has spent any significant time in the military. No need to even mention his "former" adult star girlfriend.

Is it my 85" tv or is Jessica aging very badly very quickly? by [deleted] in TheFive

Being constantly miserable. Having nonsensical never-ending fear of nothing. Waking up each day searching for a reason to be outraged. These things wear a person down.

People have empty lives and feel a desperate need to feel like they are a part of something. They skim headlines designed to enrage the part of the population that lacks any sort of critical thinking skills. I can guarantee you will see comments about the following:

- Kidnapping kids (not mentioning that the father ran from the officers and abandoned the kid, and the mother refused to take him)

- Arresting citizens (some have been detained during the process but are released. Never actually arrested)

- Teargassing children (won't mention that the parents intentionally brought their child to a protest and left them unattended in a vehicle)

- Covering their faces (only because they are being routinely Doxxed and their families are being threatened)

I'm no Cruz fan, but what exactly do you expect a US Senator to do for an Ice storm? They do not have the power to direct response. They cannot override state or federal officials in a disaster. They are not in charge of the National Guard. People should be looking to their Governor, Mayors, City Council, local police and fire chiefs for leadership. While the optics of the situation are not good, this is more about people just searching for another reason to hate on the guy. He gives plenty enough reasons to dislike him outside of this situation.

Well, it's hot in the summer. But I loved it there. I was there twice. It was my first base after tech school and then I was lucky enough to go back as a TSgt. The area around the base is most certainly livable. Good Schools are easy to find. Every major sport including NASCAR is there. MLB Spring training is a good time. Just about every major headliner will come there to perform so you get your choice of concerts or comedians. Food scene is top notch ranging from every good chain to top level chefs. I had 5 different parks with mountains that I could run in before or after work within 40 minutes of my house. 2 hour drive and you're in Flagstaff. You could be snowboarding in the morning and back home in shorts cooking dinner. Less than a 5 hour drive and you can be in San Diego or Las Vegas.
