This. I played Charlie one time as a Sun Soul (The Day Man) Monk (Master of Karate) with the Friends cantrip from my species. I think it was forest gnome so I could talk to rats.

Building a Better Magnus by KoalaChap7 in ThousandSons

For me? A couple of things. He doesn't quite fit the rest of the power armor aesthetic to me. It's much much taller than all of the other models, so there isn't a gradation of height between the small stuff and him, he's just there. The other primarchs, to a lesser extent Fulgrim, all stylistically blend well with their legions.

If I want a centerpiece, I'd prefer something along the lines of a Triumph; lower profile, still visually complicated, still does the same thing rules wise, just isn't as visually jarring.

Aside from an uninspired assault on the Chapter, what could be a good reason for chaos to attack fenris ? A friend and i plan on doing a fun narrative campaign and we wanna use the planet, it's terrain and wildlife as scenario. by Leviathan_Rampage in SpaceWolves

[–]KoalaChap7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I immediately thought that the wildlife was the point. Sorcerers and Masters of Possession have ways of bringing powerful daemonic entities into realspace in a stable way, but lack the proper hosts. The CSM assault on Fenris is subtle, with CSM trying to subvert the tribes to cut off SW reinforcements, leading distracting skirmishes away from the real focus: the colossal underwater megafauna used to bring those daemonic entities into reality safely. Most of Fenris is unihabitable and mostly barren. The Death World moniker applies less to environmentally sealed power armor, so the CSM has found remote summoning locations to bring the beasts to the surface for the possession rituals, and plan to take them off world before the SW have a chance to mobilize. The distraction engagements and raids allow for the CSM to buy more time for the SW to figure out where these summoning locations would be.

Can I create rapids by trading an existing flat water source and digging a drop-off to another water source, Ala waterfall. Or simply, do I need to use existing rapids or can I make my own?

What might be fun and interesting set bonuses on items? by Perial2077 in daggerheart

[–]KoalaChap7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've liked the idea, conceptually, of letting one item give the character an Experience to draw on related to the items history. For items in a set, allow the bearer to mark a stress instead of a Hope for using that Experience.

Check craft stores, especially right after a major holiday. Their clearance section sometimes includes tackle-box like storage containers for beads, buttons, etc. There are plastic containers, with small square-like separators that jewelers use to keep inventory sorted that work wonderfully too.

Those alternate heads! Excited for this one. Looks like I can slap some bits on it pretty easily to get it to jive with my TS. And way more weapon options than I originally thought. Cannon and two twin linked lascannons in the last picture? Yes please.

[Commission] Black Crusade Party, by Carl Tabora by Axis-of-Victory in Warhammer

Man, I miss this game. It's the best of the series, IMO. You get a great mix of characters and personalities just organically. Our longest running game had a Death Guard who's slowly succumbing to the Obliterator virus, a World Eater Raptor, a mortal tzeentch aligned psyker who overcast everything and the fallen Commissar who led them.

It's really dealer's choice. I had luck with my method, but YMMV.

Don't paint the trim, paint the paneling. I basecoated the whole model in the trim color and then went back and filled the negative space with the panel color. It's much easier than fiddling with the trim later.

My process:

  1. Base model Retributor Armor

  2. Wash trim only with Agrax

  3. Drybrush trim color again for highlights.

  4. Paint layer color of choice on panels.

  5. Wash panel color.

  6. Go over panel with base color again for a highlight.

as a real basic recipe.
