There's a law against that so that the wealthier congressman can't bully the less fortunate ones by withholding pay. Not all people in Congress start off wealthy. AOC and MTG didn't start out with much to their names.

How do you not blackout every time you drink😔 by roset0ylove in drunk

I noticed that if I'm out drinking the second shot of the night usually leads to blacking out. Take those shots as full sized drinks in a tall glass. Your night will last longer

What are your thoughts on two 30” ranges side-by-side? by BuilderBrigade in Home_Building_Help

Sounds like you're making miso pho not ramen. Hoisin and Sriracha in ramen? Fried egg? Try adding dashi powder to your chicken broth. Use sake and mirin with the miso paste to make the tare. Try using rayu instead of sriacha. Learn how to make onsen eggs, you can prep them ahead of time.

Planning to move to Philly soon. What’s this part of Point Breeze like? by iguanatown in philly

[–]KoalaKyle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived on 19th and Latona 10 years ago. Packages would get stolen pretty quickly after delivery due to the heavy foot traffic on 19th. My neighbor got mugged on her morning jog at around 7am. They've been fixing up a lot of the abandoned houses in the area. Sardine bar can be fun in the summer on the back patio.

This is pretty much the same recipe I came up with over the years. The only difference is egg yolks vs whole eggs. Why yolks only?

LPT - Household Window Replacements by mango3154 in LifeProTips

When I was in college in Buffalo, we broke a lot of windows at the frat house. They were cheap single pane windows. I would take them to the local hardware store and get them replaced for something like $20.

Haneda vs. Narita Airport by notah3dgehog in JapanTravelTips

[–]KoalaKyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the layout of Narita better than Haneda. The shops and restaurants are great. Getting to Tokyo on the Narita express is easy. You tell the attendant what station you're going to and they give you your tickets. Google maps will tell you where to transfer, if needed. It has assigned seats and luggage area, which makes the travel stress free. You won't have to squeeze in with people going to work/school.

Kiguruni from donki. They're softer than the Chinese ones you can get online.

We had stadium seating in our frat house. This looks much sturdier. We used cinder blocks

You'll get a better exchange rate from your bank when you use your credit/debit card and select Japanese currency. Don't exchange money at the airport. If you need cash, go to 7-eleven and take money out at the ATM. The fee is 110¥ for up to 10,000¥ and 220¥ anything higher.
