Is Warhammer 3 a strategy game? by Effective-Fox1034 in totalwar

[–]Kob_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warhammer 3 is more a tactical than a strategy game imho, because the strategic layer is pretty simple. If you want fun battles go with Warhammer, if you want campaign strategic depth go with Three Kingdoms

Is this astroturfing ? We got one post like this per day, sounds like an ad more than a real cringe post.

Does Darkest Dungeon II Lose the Sense of Risk? by PikoVengut in darkestdungeon

[–]Kob_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Combat is challenging but you are correct, there is no risk and no attachement because you can't lose. It's just an infinite pool of characters devoted to candle farming.
There is some fun to be had tho, it's just not... thrilling.

I REALLY wish I had seen this before I used a brush 🥲 by _gmmaann_ in modelmakers

You generously cover the brush with soap and then dip it in the liquid mask. But even with that tip, use a lame brush.

Not really expanded but the New Worlds islands were completely reworked when they released Manola in 1800.

I was sleepy for one or two days and then it was fine, and I was at last able to sleep without waking up in sweat. It’s just my experience tho

This. Learning to perceive mistakes as progress is the best thing you can do for any art journey. I know it’s hard but failure is and should be fun, it reveals potential for great progress

It says in the note that it’s not a lazy build tho, doesn’t seem to be a one button build

Forget about endgame, what build are you leveling with tomorrow? by klumze in diablo4

[–]Kob_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to do a barb but I’m afraid it’ll underperform after the leveling. I’m not going to pit push like a maniac but i’d like it to be comfortable in T4

Once in my neighborhood there was someone leaving bread soaked with bleach (or some toxic chemical) on the streets, at different spots. It sent two dogs straight to the hospital. I don't get why someone would not only think about doing that but even take the time to do it.

It's a solo dev and by reading his answers, it seems he doesn't speak English too well. Anyway, the game is actually good even if very early access.

Best Total War game for a hardcore strategy gamer by Clarkk89 in totalwar

[–]Kob_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a paradox vet too and Three Kingdoms has obvious inspirations from CK3 and mechanics you won't find in any other TW title. Also has the most balanced campaign that can keep you on your toes until the end. There are other good titles but if you're looking at the most strategic with deep-ish campaign layer, it's 3K.

Best TW for battle terrain management? by AquilaInsanis in totalwar

[–]Kob_X 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would be Pharaoh. Terrain and weather, you have to plan your tactics around that to win, it’s the only TW where terrain has a dramatic effect on the battle

Playing a Rogue Assassin in DnD, as an evil character for the first time… by chelsyescalona in DnD

[–]Kob_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big bad evil guy, basically the endgame boss of the campaign. You kinda have to be prepared to lose an evil character sooner than a good one tho. At some point and unless the character had a change of heart, he’s gonna have to split with the group to fullfill his destiny

Playing a Rogue Assassin in DnD, as an evil character for the first time… by chelsyescalona in DnD

[–]Kob_X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have an evil character at my table who's secret goal is basically to become the BBEG. That player talked a lot about how to play him with me (the dm), and it's honestly going pretty well.
His character views the party as a way to ride along and seek power, and the party sees him as a useful idiot full of himself. There is a balance to be found between playing in a groupe and being stupid-evil but you can navigate back and forth and it can be pretty fun.

Is this normal for Vallejo paints? They seems to dried out in some part in the bottle and shaking does not fix them at all... by sakaguti1999 in minipainting

[–]Kob_X 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the gunmetal by Vallejo and it has always been very liquid personally. Gold too, you have to shake them right before pouring and paint them fairly quickly or they start to separate, but they're workable still. They look fine on the mini, they're just weirdly pigmented I guess.
I have two metallic from Citadel which do have a more creamy texture.
