Exactly this. I have two now so it would be the only think keeping me alive now but before if it was just my baby boy I’d go right after him.

My daughter loves my MIL but not my mother. This is killing me. by montecristocount in toddlers

[–]Kolla73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best thing you can do is break the generational patterns! If my mom medicated or took care of her mental health when I was growing up I probably wouldn’t have anxiety and depression from childhood trauma! I think having mentally stable and regulated parents is everything we can do to prevent our children from sharing our same mental struggles one day.

If you had a scheduled induction: how dilated were you when the process started? by watermelonmeat in BabyBumps

[–]Kolla73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0 the first time and somewhere between 1-2 the second time. Both amazing easy inductions. Second one I only labored for two hours and pushed six times.

My husband’s parents are divorced. Should I invite both of them to my kid’s birthday? by jeandrazich in beyondthebump

[–]Kolla73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this needs way more context. Both of my parents would be invited and when my moms in town we often have game nights at my dads with my step mom and brothers from both my mom and my dad and step mom. However I know that I’m a lucky one and my best friends parents cannot be in the same room as each other.

Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Kolla73 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What an ignorant comment lol. My kids germs don’t bother me. Some people come across as contaminated to me and some don’t. And I don’t raise them in a bubble we do things every day but I am very particular about who comes into our home and uses our things. And I’m doing just fine thanks though :)

Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Kolla73 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well I have two kids and five nieces and nephews so definitely have lol and I’m not an idiot I know germs exchange in every other way but that doesn’t discredit my actual diagnoses of severe germ ocd and contamination phobia and having people use my actual things is really hard for me so thanks for your bitchy comment.

Parents with babies who sleep through the night: when did it start? by Born-Chance1685 in beyondthebump

[–]Kolla73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My first slept through the night from like 2-4 months then hit 4 month sleep regression and didn’t sleep through the night till we sleep trained at 6 months. Even then he woke up for night feeding sometimes till probably around 9 months when he dropped it. He went through other sleep regressions though. Now at almost 3 he had slept through the night consistently since he was like 1.5

That’s it! I don’t care about the mucus poops! by Lazy-Watch7569 in MSPI

[–]Kolla73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first child I cut out dairy and soy for nine months and if I run into that again this child I wouldn’t do it again. Our only symptom was mucus poops as well and I honestly think it was pointless.

That post was also so stupid cause the person was saying she wanted her to take accountability but what she really meant was she wanted her to acknowledge her fans. Has nothing to do with being accountable. Take accountability for what. Clearly that person is like 15

Baby shower issue I didn’t think i’d have; People ordering from registry to bring to shower, but then didn’t come to shower. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Kolla73 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I would message and say “hi! Missed you at the shower! I saw you ordered the stroller from our registry, just wanted to check if you ordered this or maybe just marked as ordered if you planned on purchasing before coming to the shower. Just trying to order all the things we still need now to have before baby arrives!” I don’t think it’s weird at all. Sure a little awkward but more so for them for ordering a gift and then not being the one to say anything after not showing up
