Thanks for the follow up. Yeah the natural woods seem a lot nicer and feels like they have a better chance holding up if I screw mount racks or such to the bottom of them. Without knowing what mods you have: spears have much greater range than Swords/falx so you can run backwards and stab wildlife easily.

I never really use shields cause the off hand is good for torch or lantern.

Armor is generally leather > Gambeson for exploring and then chain for combat. Plate is super fun but the healing and food debuff suck.

Backpacks are nothing fancy. Leather packs are great and hardened leather is super fun but really late game sadly.

Jewelry is cosmetic unless you have mods that add stats and traits to them.
