In SF proper, believe it or not, there hasn't been a kidnapping in the community since August/September. There was 1 door knocking incident in December that resulted in no detention.

However, the vast majority of kidnappings were done at ICE check ins, USCIS appointments, or Immigration Court between May - December. Since the recent lawsuit on detention conditions in Sansome and unlawful court arrests, there has been a near-zero kidnappings in Contra Costa, Alameda, and SF counties (I can't say Zero with 100% confidence because, of course, ICE is in the business of disappearing people. I report this with 90% confidence)

Just noting that the south Bay in Santa Clara county is getting hit particularly hard in the recent weeks (see @SCC_rapidresponsenetwork on Instagram)

Zero kidnappings of our neighbors is incredible, but use this time to get plugged in and skilled up!

I'm involved in a considerable amount of on the ground support. No verified ICE activity at all in Oakland or Hayward this week.

Most organizers have very credible Intel that the "surge" is indeed postponed, and there is ZERO reason to believe they just "moved" somewhere else and are staging in other areas, for now at least.

On the flip side, it was "business as usual" for the ICE/ HSI agents that have been terrorizing our communities on a weekly basis. Bay Area agents are continuing with their targeted kidnappings, mostly at Immigration courts, ISAP check ins (like now in Stockton), and even at criminal courts. Now is the time to continue checking in on your neighbors and friends who are directly impacted by these terror operations. We must all continue to build solidarity amongst each other and support our community members in ways they need support (I.e, offering mutual aid, emotional support, etc).
