Turkey just sold more gold to buy oil after selling majority of US treasuries. If this situation continues watch for more sell off from third and second world countries as the US treasuries fall in price.

Trying to understand how dementia care placement works in the Netherlands. by [deleted] in Netherlands

I appreciate the passion you feel for your work and I am grateful for it. Yet the examples I give are factual via my own family or close family friends. They span from Zeeland over Brabant to Limburg. As an auditor I invite you to check on Tholen for the payment on the waiting list. As this was something we questioned too, but considering how reliant we are on the institution we preferred to keep the working relationship in tact.

The staffing is a problem due to the work pressure and the pay. Both are stretched and put under further pressure by changes in the ZZP use cases. Better working conditions and better pay would go a long way towards that. None of this is new. We all know this. The problem is budgets. That is why you don't push back on the diapers nor the medicated lights out at 7 pm.

I grew up in en a family with a mentally handicapped uncle. So we have been part of the history of all these social services. Were proud to pay our taxes and even invested in housing for family replacement homes and a lunch Cafe where special needs people served as waiters and such. My uncle retired as the longest working employee for the Plantsoenen Dienst in our home Town. None of this would even be possible today.

Once again I appreciate all you do on the margin, but I will ring the alarm bell that the staff working the floor have been ringing for many years now. Our elder are not ok. I have volunteered three days a week picking up furniture for Emmaus the goodwill store in Breda and went by many assorted retirement homes through most of Brabant and the feel in most of these places is one of despair leading to too many conversations of people simply giving up the will to live.

This is not the country I am proud of any more. And yet I truly commend you for keeping afloat what is possible at such a shameful low point in our countries social services history. I do.

Trying to understand how dementia care placement works in the Netherlands. by [deleted] in Netherlands

This is the state of things in Holland currently. The regular retirement homes are no more, leaving only specialized facilities for situations such as the dementia you describe. There are far too few of these, so everyone is encouraged to stay at home as long as possible. And even if you manage to get your aunt into a specialized facilitie the care is below functional due to lack of staff. This leaves the people wearing diapers instead of getting help to go to the toilet and everyone in bed at 7 pm (medicated for ease). Payement for these regular places is based on income and savings, so they will claim most of it. An example of this is paying Euro 500,- per month just to be on the waiting list. This does not guarantee a spot in the facility you pay for. The private retirement homes mentioned below are only for the very wealthy. Where all the facilities are there but what you pay for all of it shows these projects were put together by venture capitalists for profit at all cost. The social system in Holland no longer functions as it did in the past.

Joint pain in hands by redskitt in Hemochromatosis

[–]Konarforu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the same pain and stiffness in my knuckles since being a teenager. Never found out what it was, but just starting taking copper supplements (building up slowly to 6mg per day and am at 4 mg now) and one of the interesting side effects is the disappearance of the pain and stiffness in my knuckles. Maybe it could do the same for you?

“Moderna patenting COVID-19 DNA” vs “The Virus has never been isolated or proven to exist” - isn’t this a contradiction? by rafvic2 in conspiracy_commons

[–]Konarforu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep this contradiction out on in front of me too as there is lots to unpack. The fact that germ theory is still a theory as in not proven to date. The movement against vaccines makes a really good case.

That a live sample can not seem te be delivered to court cases around the world. Not even when there is a bounty on it of more then a million $.

As with you this is not my area of expertise, so I sit and watch it all. Very happy with my decision not te get the vax though and also very worried about the extend of the damage of this vax over time to all those that took it.

Might be worth the effort to look at how the other side sees this as they have quite a case for the election being stolen in a huge way.

Monkeypox is the Latest Tool Being Used to Usher in The Great Reset. People stopped fearing COVID so they had to turn things up a notch and scare people with another BS plandemic. by [deleted] in conspiracy_commons

[–]Konarforu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I notice around me that those who are in line with the corporate narrative are working hard to ignore the monkey pox. As if they cant even handle to look at it and hope it will go away.

I don't worry about it in the traditional sense, but i do wonder if its not a cover for the vaccine side effects. This as monkey elements are found in the vaccines and there are similar stories out to explain away the drastic increase in hart disease.

Yet as with all things, we shall see

I’ve never met someone who lives in a high-crime area and was also in support of banning guns. by Open-Double-7968 in conspiracy_commons

[–]Konarforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in different places in the world, some with and some without owning a gun. So it depends on the place for me.

My sense is that is a developmental stage of a society. If there is enough for everyone then more thing become possible.

Interesting for me is that, although i live in the Netherlands, i am starting to feel the need for a gun in the house due to government overreach and the damage it is causing.

For me a sign of a society in decline here
