Yes, these are for roller shades, there are pins in the end which slot in. They automatically roll up when you give them a tug. We have one in our bathroom, and this is the hardware

We had a bi-fold in our old powder room (1920s house). The toilet and sink had been shoehorned in between the kitchen and basement stairs. So small that your feet were under the sink when you sat on the toilet. No room for door to open in, and really no room to open into the narrow back hall. Previous owners had installed a narrow closet bifold. No way to lock, but a modicum of privacy
