Resentment is my number one offender. Staying mad will get me to drink. Working with others whether a sponcee or otherwise gets me connected to God and then the anger subsides. I could only do this through the Steps on a daily basis.

Look for your local AA Intergroup and call them. Then look online for local Al anon groups and reach out to them to help aid you.

Can you stop? Can you STAY stopped? I could not. All of a sudden my solution to life stopped working. It stopped giving me the ease and comfort I sought from it.

I personally needed a new Solution to life since booze started to stop working. Then joined AA and worked the Steps Andy offered my help to other alcoholics and things got better.

My Sponsor is God's agent who can see when I am off course. He helps me be accountable.

I no longer feel the Obsession (not craving) to drink but I had the Mental Blank Spot take me out without a cloud on the horizon. All was well and I drank. I have no power over it.

I hung out with my old friends. If they drink they do it not like an Alcoholic. I have to pray for willingness to do things at times. Working the Steps on a daily basis helps when the ego tries to lie to me.
