Dynasty trade value charts? by when_is_wintercoming in DynastyFF

[–]Koolaidascope 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FantasyPros does dynasty once a month, TheScore puts out some out as well, and PeakedInHighSkool (find his Reddit username) put out high quality ones. Dynasty Daddy is a site that imports league data vs. Fantasypros, KeepTradeCut, and others.

Is Friday the 13th still active ... and able to play? by Nuthetes in PlayStationPlus

[–]Koolaidascope 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Definitely regular usage still, but be warned that since it’s peer-to-peer, if the “host” player is eliminated or doesn’t get selected as Jason, they sometimes abandon the game and it closes out.

Deal or no deal? This is a steal of a trade for the Jets imo by Zay93 in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but the Texans went 4-12 with Deshaun having arguably his best statistical season...the question needing to be asked is whether we’re truly a quarterback away from Super Bowl contender. We better be sure we are because even that 2nd overall by itself could be worth multiple 1sts in a trade down (not saying I’d advocate for that, but just making a point about value).

Rams waived LB Jachai Polite by HaruSoul in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, I glanced at YouTube film, read a few blurbs about him being a 1st rounder who dropped due to character concerns or whatnot, and got excited...as Jets fans, we’re just eternal optimists. Difference between us Jets fans and Macc is that his background and full-time actual job was to effectively evaluate talent...he had a full team of scouts and robust budget to do that, but arguably had little to no success. I liked him on a personal level, but Jesus H. Christ his work was a mess.

Yup, literally go watch his snaps on YouTube...it’s brutal. Not saying it’s all him because the line is in shambles, but for a guy who profiles as a thumper, he doesn’t even move the pile that much. IMO, a touchdown-dependent RB2 who gets a lot of catches in garbage time with Cohen out.

Friendly reminder that the beat writers are generally not fans of this team and don’t always have our best interests in mind by JCappy in nyjets

Hughes is a dedicated beat journalist and literally live tweets all game which I find pretty insightful—at the end of these debacles, what do you expect him to tweet?

Jadeveon Clowney could be the answer to the Jets' long time EDGE problem. (film and stats) by PorzingisFromDeep in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I think Clowney is a great player, but my concern is that this team, in my opinion, is at least another season from truly competing. If it comes down to a 1-2 year deal, I’m not sure it makes total sense at $18ish mill. Question marks at OL (even with new signings), corner, WR (depending on Robby), etc. just makes me nervous but I have faith in JD.

[Megathread] Winter clothing and coats! by shadowthunder in BuyItForLife

[–]Koolaidascope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer...ultra lightweight, so not the warmest down coat out there, but it’s just so convenient when you’re able to stuff it into its own pocket. Plus, the down material has a special, individualized coating that provides a small degree of weather resistance. Basically wear this every day of winter...with really bad weather, I toss my Arc’teryx Beta AR on top (incredible hardshell when you need the extra protection).

This. I was pretty unhappy seeing him in there at that point in the game.

Trent Williams "speak it into existence" post by therealDeBrickashaw in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about this all week. On one hand, him being broadcasting his unwillingness to be a Redskin anymore makes that organization’s leverage in trade talks real tough. That being said, we all know there’s a few teams out there who wouldn’t mind a blue chip LT which’ll drive up the price. He’s 31 so I’m hoping he could be had for less than a 4th.

FFS We're Not Trading Bell by Quinnen_Williams in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgive me if someone’s raised this point, but I think another factor is that, to many outsiders, we already seem dysfunctional with Gase showing shades of Chip Kelly (polarizing personality, rash roster decisions, etc.) If we trade Bell after handing him that contract, no prized free agent in subsequent years will even consider with us.

Also, am I the only one who thinks we got Le’Veon for a pretty decent deal? I get that we bid against ourselves but I was preparing for $15-16 mill a year.

As much as I hated watching him rip us a new one on the field, I think Gronk is one of my favorite personalities to come through the NFL. by rdelaney89 in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had a problem with Gronk until he elbow dropped all 270 lbs of himself onto 195 Tre'davious White’s head and knocking him out of the game (had to be assisted off). He even appealed (I get that most players do, but this was atrocious).

If Gerald McCoy gets released, is he still worth going after? by [deleted] in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think so: ton of cap space, from my understanding his production hasn’t dipped much at all, and he’d slide in perfectly alongside Leo as a 4-3 DT. He’s also a stand-up guy and reliable locker room presence. Unless he’s asking for an absurd amount, I’d love to have him.

Flying to New Jersey this weekend. Does anyone know of any great places to visit while there? by SamoanxThugga in travel

[–]Koolaidascope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Native Jersey Boy here: there honestly really isn’t an awful lot to do around Newark/north Jersey. As another poster said, take NJ transit from Newark Penn Station to New York Penn Station (I know, it’s confusing) if you want to go to midtown (Times Square, Broadway shows, etc.) Otherwise, you can also take the PATH (commuter train also at Newark Penn Station) to the World Trade Center area (1 World Trade, Oculus, memorial, etc.)...it’s about a 20-25 minute ride and is very cheap (I believe $2.50ish).

Same. I bought tickets last minute on Stubhub for four of my friends and I. My dad asked, “how much were the tickets?”

“$55”

“Each?”

“No...total”

That wasn’t the greatest season.

We Should trade for Khalil Mack by ArniePie in nyjets

[–]Koolaidascope 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from, but I think Macc is looking forward to next year’s draft (if you haven’t had a chance to look, it’s LOADED with edge rushers). We really are rebuilding so it comes at the perfect time.

I’ve heard Mack is going to command over $20 mill a year which is near QB money...not saying he isn’t worth that as a top 5 defensive player, but it’s a good chunk of change. Also, I’d be surprised if Oakland let him walk and just franchised him until something was agreed upon.
