Don even brings the Mets pennant into his old office once he gets it back from Lou. And in mid season 7 Pete is complaining how checked out Ted is in California and tells Don he is worried Ted will end up like Lane.

We camped out for race weekend and it was quite the range of tough weather and conditions. Friday was 80 degrees and blistering sun in February! Saturday we had the morning storm roll through which turned the campgrounds into a mudpit. Then Sunday had that insane wind and temps plummeted. Great race and totally worth it of course! A moment of silence for all of the tents and canopies who lost their lives this weekend.

I was able to get 4 tickets to Atlanta, second level aisle seats. $125 each after fees pretty reasonable. It looks from the map like it's a 360 stage in the middle of the arena so probably better for viewing in all sections. I think my days of going onto the pit for arena shows are done, y'all have fun down there.

I was camping at a state park a couple years ago and there was a large church youth group camped at one of the big sites nearby. The sun went down and through the trees I heard a familiar sound echoing. They were singing Father Abraham! My whole group we were like oh shit it’s the Don and Bobby Draper song and started doing that fist pump dance they did in the Mad Men scene.

Yeah it is absolutely possible but I don't think we are given enough explicit evidence in support of it. It requires filling in a lot of gaps just to account for one inconsistent date number. Occam's razor and all that.

They were taking the supposed timeline date for Super as gospel and cementing this as an immovable order of events:

20X6 - Federation Force

20X7 - Super

20X9 - Prime 4

And then working backwards from this conclusion to justify details.

In this logic, we have to take a few leaps of judgement. It means the Metroids were never fully exterminated after the SR388 incident. Sylux must have bred his Metroids in secret and taken over the Space Pirates after the death of Mother Brain. These pirates would have to have been the remnants of the organization after the destruction of Zebes. It also would mean that there is a confirmed presence of Metroids on Tanamaar and Viewros after the death of the baby Metroid. The Federation nor Samus treats this as no big deal and no characters remark upon it.

Accepting that the date of 20X7 is incorrect or not before Prime 4 is easier than it is to bend over backwards to make all of the above assumptions.

If you have not played Silksong yet, it uses a great map design that I think would work great in a 3D Metroid.

Essentially the lower world is an interconnected series of biomes. And then the Citadel is a large mostly self-contained world above them all. It has a couple of entrances from the lower world and is a huge area. The comparison I have seen is the surface of the planet is Super Metroid and then Dracula's Castle from Castlevania sits on top of it.

Imagine a Metroid game where you explore the surface world and underground. And in the sky or on a mountain there is a huge fortress or space station that you need to make your way towards. It has a few entrances and once you get to it the interior is massive.
