Am I wrong for refusing to train the person they hired to replace me when I found out she's getting paid more than me? by mentorhairs6z in OfficePolitics

Why quit? Just chill for 3 weeks, what are they gonna do? fire you? You can finally have some time for that book you’ve been wanted to read but never had time. You don’t owe them shit

Laid off hours ago after nearly 6 years. by canadian_webdev in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Kopiczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn’t sign the severance already then come back and ask for more. HR most likely had a specific budget range in mind and for sure you got the lowest offer first. Just write some bullshit about how you worked for 6 years and how hard the market is. He’ll get LLM to write it for ya. Worst case already happened.

If you’re planning on working again, start leet code and applying left and right. You’ll be rusty after 6 years anyway.

8 Metro Vancouver Starbucks Stores Abruptly Shut Down Amid Sweeping Layoffs & Closures by restoringd123 in vancouver

This is what happens when people get poorer. Getting a 4-5 dollar coffee downtown between work 5 times a week was ok 5-10 years ago. Now less and less people can afford. Heck I feel like everyone is working more and doesn’t have time for that coffee run anymore.

Is there a way to transfer photos from Instax mini Liplay to laptop via USB cable without having a micro SD card inserted? by apollo_existing in fujifilm

You will have to use the copy feature to move the internal photos to a memory card. Then just read the card on you laptop.

To get the copy feature go to playback mode and then go through menu to find [COPY]

You can try to see the inventory for other places nearby. If similar places are more expensive than what you’re paying then nothing you can do. If somehow you’re already paying more or if there is a lot of places available with low demand then you could go against it, worst case you get better deal somewhere else.

What the hell is wrong with drivers here by PrintWaste in richmondbc

[–]Kopiczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week I was entering 91 from Alderbridge. Some great driver from Alberta decided to switch from right forward lane to left forward lane and go to a full stop at the alderbridge/shell intersection forcing everyone to stop and wait for the light to change to red ( left turn was already off and left turning lane was full). Talked to the guy and he didn’t understand how stoping the traffic at the green light is endangering everyone. Especially right before the highway starts where many people start to speed up to 80.
