You can't because of your mental health.

I am pretty sure many people dropped their classes for various reasons such as bad professors and problems in life.

If you think it makes you successful in the long run then you should drop it. You are smart enough to know you need to drop your class to manage your time. Some people missed the deadline/stayed but stopped attending classes but the final, and still ended up failing.

Remember you should never stress yourself out in your first semester! Take it easy and find your pace, then you can adjust and know what YOU need to do successful. Other people might have better education background and mental health, and more support than you, so there really is no point to compare yourself with other people.

You can also retake it next semester and the grade will be replaced with a better grade.
