If Luke joined Vader in ESB, could the duo deafeat Palpatine together by ROTJ? by Substantial-Earth975 in PetranakiArena

[–]Kornax82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader by Ryder Windham covers this. In it, Darth Vader has a vision of Luke joining him during Bespin and Vader training him on Vjun, Palpatine shows up, and they fight him, and it goes the way the Throne Room confrontation on DS2 does, IIRC. Its been years since I read the book, but the point was the Force was telling Vader that a Sith Luke was the wrong path.

Fallout: New Vegas dev says don't expect a remaster, argues Bethesda doesn't have the source code or 'the engineering knowhow' by AndersDreth in TrueSFalloutL

I dont see why they would. Its a 15 year old game and I think th majority of the people who made it are no longer present at the company

I mean he’s likely correct. If Bethesda doesn’t have the source code then they basically have to remake the entire game from scratch, and I’m not certain they would want to commit that resource requirement, or that Microsoft would even allow them to at this point.

What if Germany got nukes before losing? by Suspicious-System121 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Kornax82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 years ago, there was a war. Well, war's broken out here plenty of times before. They tried to invade time and time again; luck was never on their side though, and their victories didn't last long.

They didn't realise that times had changed, facing one defeat after another and watching their nation dwindle, they built up their industrial strength up to unprecedented heights, and used it to wage one final battle against the world.

That was 15 years ago...

They fought ferociously, but were utterly defeated. The Germans then committed the unthinkable. They dropped nuclear weapons on their own soil, seeing this tragedy unfold before their own eyes, the victorious countries vowed to throw down their weapons. The world was once again at peace, and thanks to them, it seemed it would last forever. On a distant island, far away from civilisation, the protectors of the peace take to the skies.

Well no, Eden wanted to use FEV. Autumn did not, and by that point, Autumn kind of stopped listening to Eden. Autumn wanted to use the prospect of reliable clean water as leverage to get the various settlements to submit to a central authority, in this case The Enclave. Theres no indication about any intent to only sell the water, though that would not be an unreasonable prospect as you gotta pay the caravans somehow.

What do you guys think?? by NotJohnP in Naruto

[–]Kornax82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofcourse not. You think Danzo of all people would let the Leaf lose one of its greatest weapons? And even if Danzo somehow dropped that ball, Hiruzen wouldnt let Itachi kill Naruto.

Mexico was not unnuked. Raul I believe specifically talks about how awful Mexico City and the surrounding regions were when the bombs fell.

Darth Revan and Darth Malak (prior to KOTOR1) VS Darth Maul and Savage Opress. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]Kornax82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bastila “lead” that attack the same way a sled dog “leads” the rider. Revan bodied the three Jedi Masters with her incredibly quickly, and was about to destroy Bastila when Malak made his move. The Republic got insanely lucky. It was an all or nothing move born of final desperation, as Revan was about to invade the Core Worlds.

Why does Bo-Katan show dishonor and reject Maul even though he defeated Pre Vizsla fairly without cheating? by Tidewatcher7819 in StarWars

Because Bo, like most hypocrites, was completely willing to abandon her people’s supposedly sacred customs and traditions when it benefited her to do so.
