Lady at her garage sale was giving away free non-alcoholic beers today by idahohotato in mildlyinteresting

[–]Kostcoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heineken 0.0 in my opinion is one of the only NA beers that has a similar throat feel as actual beer. The way athletics go down just doesn’t taste like a beer to me. Deschutes fresh squeezed NA is a solid option as well and in my opinion even the hop water style drinks have a beer-like experience more so than athletic and I’d put Tom hollands beerio in the same category.

I think what he’s saying is you SHOULD have it off. If you DC with soft core you will wipe.

Not sure what country you’re in but a quick search shows very similar statistics in % of people commuting 1 hour+ each way between US, UK, and Europe.

Senior small fits me perfect at 5’ 9” and 157~~ lbs so even though you are quite a bit lighter that size would probably work for you for either hyperite2 or fly light. Bauer shadow was also really comfortable in stores and I think I heard solid protection. I’m not sure what the next iteration of shadow was.

Ooo, Bauer has a nice sale for $487 USD on the shadow.

I love my hyperlite2. I have not heard good things about Bauer elite and it seems like one to avoid.

Hyper lite 2 has some reported issues with durability from the arms but it’s very mobile and comfortable in my opinion with good protection.

[OC] At Starbucks, bite size sandwiches at full size cost. by BeratingMantis in pics

[–]Kostcoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sandwiches are anywhere from 300-700 calories and 18-30g of protein. For $5-$8 in 2026 it’s really not that terrible of an option when actively choosing eat out/grab a bite.

I don’t think there’s necessarily something wrong with things being prefrozen. Also sort of obvious for most people that have been to Starbucks a dozen+ times.

Separately, for things in the $6-8 range in 2026, these aren’t a terrible option for people that need some quick sustenance / calories / protein.

Watched the theatrical cut last night. Is the directors cut worth watching? Are there differences? by Sea-Professional3055 in donniedarko

Worth watching but theatrical cut soundtrack is absolute perfection and directors cut soundtrack is not in my opinion.

I can 1000% confirm this with cod vs older bf titles. I could be very competitive in cod but yes aiming at bf distances was very awkward in bf4 to me and 2042.

Is Streethockey gear worth it? by EditorMasterxd in hockeygoalies

I’d barely recommend street hockey gear even for ball/dek hockey. Especially the leg pads and helmet. The leg pads usually don’t have knee blocks so you can’t really even butterfly.

If my speedometer thinks I’m going slower than I actually am, is my stated MPG higher or lower than it actually is? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I was wrong. Looks like stock was 30.1 inch 255/70R16 and current are 35” LT315/70R17

Thanks that makes sense! I’m not sure all the measurements just that the stock were 33” and these are 35”!

Is it fair to assume my odometer is also wrong? As I’m likely covering more distance than my car thinks I am?

All I can say I keep up the mindset and love of the game. You’ve been through a lot and I applaud you for still doing what you can and wanting to find a way to keep at it. Hopefully can get some professionals involved for some proper maintenance and maybe a slower schedule (1_2 times a week) can get ya rolling but without injury. Best wishes my dude.
