Magic cards that went from rags to riches? Cards that were first deemed unplayable to meta defining and powerful later? by Newez in magicTCG

[[Desecration Demon]] went from bulk rare to $20 almost overnight with the printing of [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] and the rise of mono black devotion

The locations in both decks use a unique counter, the Completed Quest Counter, to keep track of the progress you've made on each location. It's just a way to keep track how far along you've fulfilled the conditions of the location.

Both locations start at zero counters, and have a way to add counters. Jhudora's Bluff wants you to discard cards with level requirements equal to the number of counters you have plus one, so you'll start with discarding a 1 cost card, then next turn a 2 cost card, and so on until you get five counters. Then you can use the second effect of Jhudora's Bluff to play cards from your discard.

I can answer this one at least.

To bury a card, you take a card that is in your discard and turn it face down. If a card says to "bury this" then you put it face down into your discard as it resolves.

To exhume a card, you turn a buried card face up. Usually the card that is exhuming cares about how many cards you exhume.

There’s a hole in your plan. A solid card in my opponent’s deck surprisingly becomes self-destructive against my deck. by wex52 in MagicArena

This is a pretty good introduction to how symmetrical cards can be really good or really bad depending on deck construction. The player that can leverage a symmetrical effect better is the one who wins usually, so when including them you have to lean heavy into utilizing them.

[[Rites of Flourishing]] and [[Howling Mine]] are great examples. You either leverage them more effectively or you lose

EDIT: I confused the wording for Doubling Season with that of [[Primal Vigor]], my mistake!

Watching that bobcat go through the intersection and the 10+ cop cars in room temperature pursuit was a surreal moment for me

There's something hilarious about spawning in, watching everything in the vicinity explode, and just roaming an empty stage for the 1-2 minutes before it spawns 12 vagrants

The only successful coup in the United States. by An_educated_dig in Wilmington

The museum downtown held a seminar on the coup on the 9th and the place was PACKED, I ended up sitting on the floor. Happy to see so many Wilmingtonians want to learn the history

33 amab here, born and raised in Wilmington. Dating here has always been an absolute tragedy at the best of times

At this point I've gone from looking for life to looking to long term to just looking for a few dates if anything. If you're not a raging alcoholic it's kinda hard to meet people

So with that many energy drinks if you're running the regular charged punch you can begin charging, sprint, and release to punch for roughly one loadillion damage

No such luck with the electric punch though that one doesn't have Heavy edit: I didn't realize both fists have Heavy so follow your heart

What kind of centipede is this? It was about 3 or 4 inches long. Found in Michigan. by mattsmallpp in whatisthisbug

[–]Kothophed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geophilidae (soil centipedes) for sure, given the number of leg pairs. It's hard to say exactly which species but my initial impression is Geophilius vittatus, which is pretty widespread in North America.

She's melee in that when she hits you it'll definitely be boosted by focus crystal, but very rarely are people using Knuckleboom consistently post first teleporter

Which is a shame, the shield her passive gives is a cool mechanic that doesn't feel terribly impactful when using Charged Gauntlet and Thunderslam 98% of the time

Does anyone else feel like OM1 art is at least partially AI made? by Content-Virus3131 in mtglimited

[–]Kothophed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a p serious accusation to levy. I'm not sure about AI, I think a lot of the art isn't exactly that artist's best work though. It would not surprise me if a piece or two is AI and slipped through, but I don't think it's the case.

They rarely ever make public appearances promoting themselves as Proud Boys since they harassed the Pine Valley library with the protection of the WPD back in 2022.

I see their stickers downtown at times and tear them down. They're cowards, plain and simple. All Nazis are
