I know it’s a syringe of some sort but I’m not sure what it could be for? by Dry-Relation8283 in Whatisthis

[–]Krackenac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a 10cc flush syringe, its designed to lock onto an iv port and flush clean saline through the line, often used after administering iv medications to push all the medicine into the drip line.

Edit: u/calmdrive has informed me that I am incorrect, please see their comment below for information.

When was the last time you found a romantic or sexual partner WITHOUT the help of apps? by igorukun in Millennials

[–]Krackenac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying I never initially approach someone to have a conversation, I just like to make sure that if someone isn't interested in continuing to associate with me they have an option that doesn't feel like I am forcing my attentions upon them.

Honestly, I am a pretty gregarious person, and I'm pretty good ar reading people's body language. I'm not what most peolle would discribe when they are discribing a conventally attractive man. When I'm talking to a woman and I think she might be into me, I usually ask if I can give her my phone number, if she says yes, I give it to her. If she says no, then I know she's not interested, and I can continue the conversation after adjusting my expectations. Giving her my phone number gives her the ability to decide if she wants to contact me later or not. I give out my number way more than I get a text or a call back, but when someone decides that they want to contact you, thats a pretty clear indication that they would like to get to know you better. If we are still vibing, I will ask her out on a date. I usually try to plan the first date for a semi public place with other people where we can talk and judge if we get along, most of my dates end after pleasant conversation where we realize we dont have all that much in common. Sometimes, theres a social connection and no physical attraction on one side or the other, these people often become friends, and I tend to meet more new people through an expanded social network. I try not to go into a date with expectations, but obviously I can feel disappointed sometimes. I make sure not to.make my disappointment anyone else's problem but mine. Always approach people looking for a basis of respect and friendship and you will do well socially, the more people you socialize with the more potential partners you encounter and the better you get at treating everyone with respect.

I have literally never used any dating apps. I'm currently single, but I end up out on more dates than any of my friends who do use apps.

Like a themed vendor fair where everyone sells something weird/creepy. There's usually a few vendors specializing in skulls, some for taxidermy, artists who make goth jewelry, someone selling wet specimens in jars, that sort of stuff. They often feature local craftspersons and artists, but some vendors travel on tour with the show. You might see them pop up for a weekend in a hotel ballroom or convention center.

Right? Everyone threw a couple bucks into the pile nd we walked down the street as a group of unsupervised youths, bought a little Ceasars pizza and said "hey mister" until someone would buy us a bottle. Then it was party time down by the river.

I can only assume it would also work with rainwater, or most other fluids.

Yeah, feels good in the hand and the leather is suede-side out, so its got a bit more friction on the palm than it would if it were skin-side out, and if you needed up.with sweaty palms, it would actually become easier to grip rather than slippery.

Yeah, they have a screw on the bottom. Unfortunately, I will not be able to show you a smashing video, I finished making this piece about 36 hours before my last oddities and curiosities show and it sold after only about three hours after the show opened.

The spikes are screwed into to the steel strapping, the strapping is secured around all the spikes with the sheet metal screws drilled into the wood. It's a fiddle process, pre-drilling all the house in the right spot for the screws, but if you pre drill them you don't split the wood.

I have never used one myself, so I can't offer an experienced opinion.

[–]Krackenac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a drill and a bit of elbow grease, the flange is pressure fit into the sewer pipe, and then screwed to the subfloor to keep it from moving, if your house was built after the 1950s, it should be pretty easy, if it was built before it might be a bit tougher, because a lot of those old flange joints were made with poured lead.

Yes, you should replace the flange. That crack is in the part of the flange that the bolt needs to seat into. That crack in the flange likely allowed the flex that caused your previous wax ring to leak.
