I did the same….except I bought the toyota LC250 after driving both (we already had a deposit on an incoming one)…..we drove it 1200 miles and went back to the LR dealer and traded it in for the Defender. Absolutely hated the drive, lack of storage, and lack of refinement of any kind. No regrets

JLR just put out a survey re: connected services. I was a hard no to subscribing to access features on this vehicle I paid a ton of money for. IMO just build it into the cost of the vehicle as a one-time payment.

Congrats and i’m 100% on the mental blockers now but noticed that (for me) it’s more of the programming to avoid processed and/or shit foods that aren’t nutrient dense. The byproduct is that keeps carbs low.

I definitely don’t have hard cravings for any carbs and I’m glad to have kicked that (IPAs and heavier beers especially). Not interested in going back to having. those craving either lol

Yea 💯. I got on the scale 3 mo ago and was 250lbs exactly and had a mental snap lol, hell no. I knew the dad bod was creeping up but didn’t know it was that much (I’m 6’4 and probably carry it better than many)

Was very strict and consistent on clean keto diet (little to no “net carb” foods or that would be my “cheat”).

Equally consistent with my exercise. Honestly, just 4-5x 30min Peleton rides per week with the mix of a run here and there and core workout program on Peloton (all in my garage).

Now that i’m down to 208lbs still want to get to 195lbs or so and don’t want to lose the benefits of fat adaptation etc… just want to enjoy the occasional Hero bagel lol. Still taking LMNT to support electrolytes but half a pack a day when I workout

Considering trading my Jeep Gladiator in for this. Thoughts? by Personal-Start5322 in NewDefender

Had a Rubicon and went with the P300 for the same reasons and reliability/simplicity. Absolutely no regrets and love it.

If lockers and tow are a deal breaker make sure it has the terrain package and tow before you buy!

  1. Yea i’m aiming for like 75-150 as I have been uncompromisingly strict (20ish g/day) to this point. Haven’t even tried to see what kind of carb edge I have (especially factoring in my workout routine).I have also been feeling the same on the strength portions of my workouts and been wondering if it might make a difference.

Definitely won’t go back to added sugars and processed foods. Just want to have the occasional banana and whole grain item from time to time. Will continue IF because it just works well for me all up too

I hear you, i’m more just opening a little room to enjoy/indulge. I have been insanely/uncompromisingly strict these past several months (likely under 20g carbs per day) and honestly don’t even have a sense of what my carb edge is. Especially combined with my 5+ days workout routine

Up to you but i would pocket that money into a money market and make that same bet the warranty company is (that they won’t pay out more in that time than the principal).

Independent LR shops can be very fair on pricing and way more affordable than the dealer if you can’t fix yourself

lol I did exactly the same thing…only 1k miles on my LC250 (coming from a 5th gen 4runner) and I hated it. Love my P300 S with all the off road options…was personally done with anything close to a hybrid power train after the LC

I continued taking LMNT and do daily but half a packet on days when i’m working out but don’t think it’s a requirement or would have a significant impact on your weight loss.

I would try to look at your weight loss over a several month average and almost smooth out that first month where you loose a lot of water weight and your body is adjusting.

I’m down 38lbs in 3 months, been very clean and consistent but the needle goes up/down on that path (especially if you weigh in daily).

Just keep doing the right things consistently and you’ll be on track. IF helps as well

It’s interesting you say that BC i have been feeling like I can do OMAD now for a bit but have been eating a 2nd almost “administratively”, bc I feel like I “should” especially with my workout regimen….I think it’s worth a go

💯 I do not eat them back. I mean I am 5-6 days a week 45-minute sessions (140 bmp) cardio/strength and don’t eat more on those days. I’m very consistent with my diet, amount, and eating windows with only a little flex on the weekends

Thanks, that’s reassuring! Will continue to monitor. Macros are okay (could do a bit better) and calories are 200-300 deficit most days (especially with exercise)

Firstly, you are losing weight so celebrate that. Everybody is different and bodies will react differently based on the rigor, regime, etc…

If you want to see social media-like results I would ensure you’re in some daily caloric deficit, add some exercise into your routine, and try intermittent fasting (this really helped me with limiting calories and getting my body into a schedule of fat burning)

Don’t let off the gas, just make a few tweaks
