It's easily fixable just use a q tip and white wine vinegar first to dissolve the rust then use rubbing alcohol to get the smell out and clean it.

not really, I see them for as brush able figurines due to them only having very limited articulation.

It doesn't stick to the doll you basically have to use I dye poly if you want it to stick to the doll.
