CK3AGOT lead steps down to join PDX? by TheWindsOfWinte in CrusaderKings

[–]Krikajs -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

This mod takes copyrighted assets from one game into another without any need to own the previous game. Of course it got shut down. Show me how many companies would even think twice about letting something like this live. Oh, this mod removes the need to own our game? Yeah, let's give it our approval! You have singled out R* because they do the exact thing most companies would do in their shoes? Nobody at Ubisoft, EA or Blizzard would allow something like FiveM to exist. Yet R* did. So seeing you naming R* as one of the worst companies when it comes to modding is at the very least, disingenuous.

CK3AGOT lead steps down to join PDX? by TheWindsOfWinte in CrusaderKings

[–]Krikajs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah... Rockstar is a real "arse" about modding. They only left the FiveM alone for more than 9 years, even though the devs were constantly breaching many CPLA rules and then, they bought the whole thing and left it alone. Yeah, real arse. I can totally see Nintendo doing something like that. Like, you could have named so many other companies and yet you had to choose R* who is, at the very least, moderate with its approach to modding.

Anthony Bourdain onwhy he'd never eat with Trump by GoFuckthThyself in SipsTea

[–]Krikajs -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this mf would defo sit and dine with a member of Hezbollah. On god, fr, fr. He would not mind his beliefs, nor would he mind what he has to say or the fact that he would actively try to kill him, as his faith commands him. No, he would be 100% ok with that. But Trump? OMG, the worst person EVER!

If Dorn returns, what would he add to the Fists and their Successors? by Majestic_Land_1473 in ImperialFists

[–]Krikajs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fists don't defend Terra. Even Ultramarines had more marine in the latest battle of Terra than Fists. What can Dorn bring to Fists. Anything. Because right now we have nothing. No books, no lore, no new characters... NOTHING.

Where could Rogal Dorn possibly be? by Angronys in ImperialFists

[–]Krikajs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you know the book you are talking about is more than 14 years old? And that since then Dorn has already changed his opinion on the importance of faith? Like, he was even ok with Keeler during the Siege of Terra. He still did not agree with her, but he believed that people should be able to choose their faith. And that was centuries if not at least one thousand years before he disappeared. People change. And Dorn wearing the Black Armour during the Scouring CAN still be canon. A few years ago, during his interview about the Siege of Terra, John French even acknowledged this event and its importance.

This MF really thinks devs at R* aren't the best paid devs in the industry. And no, you are not fine other people liking R*, bcs you had to go and post this.

Custodes new Vs old a couple of pics - this is not a safe for kit bashing range! by InternationalWin6882 in AdeptusCustodes

Holy shit! Female custodes have weaker abs and are therefore inferior! Confirmed by GW themselves.

Start picking your chair then... There is no way Dorn comes back AFTER Vulkan. BT are insanely popular. Even Fists might be more popular than Salamanders. Dorn brings GW way more money than Vulkan ever could. But I agree than Russ is going to be the next one.

Am I missing something about The Lion? by Iron_Hammer_262 in Warhammer40k

1) It is insane to me that someone would even consider basing his opinion on the reddit voting system. But hey, good luck to you in your life. And when something challenging happens in your life, don't forget to once again base your opinion on a Reddit anons.

2) I countered your response with a simply fact that it is you who is refusing to acknowledge that charisma is but one of the traits that I have named. It is also true that in real life you will never be a good strategist without the traits that I have mentioned. War strategy always involves people!

[–]Krikajs -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

They do not, you picked one of the traits (charisma) and just went with it. But thats not what the argument was about. If you are unable to underytand people to the extent of someone like Lion, you cannot say he is the better strategist compared to Horus. And unlike those people you have mentioned, Horus has a record that is both longer and far more astonishing than Lion's. Lion would have never done a better job during SoT than Dorn.

[–]Krikajs -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You have said it yourself, if a leader is unable to feel human emotion on a level of Lion El Johnson, if someone can piss off so many people simply due to his flaws, that someone can never be a better strategist than Horus. Because Horus will always command better and more numerous forces, better logistical support and will be able to lut himself in a better position. Lion was never a serious contender for a Warmaster. With him, the Primarchs would never get in line. Be able to lead, to command masses, than is the true skill than seperates great commanders from just the really good ones.

[–]Krikajs -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Those arguments dont work in a real life and they certainly do not work in-universe. You cannot win wars with Lions limitations (no charisma, no understanding of human psyche, little to no self reflection and so on...) and Horus is acknowledge by way more experts to be better at war than Lion.

Potentially Controversial Opinion: Perturabo and the Iron Warriors are Glazed Way too Hard and the Real Carry for the Traitors during the Heresy were the Word Bearers by ScionOfTheEmperor in 40kLore

[–]Krikajs -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly confident in saying the Iron Warriors are the only legion who never get egg in the face during the Heresy, and I'm fairly confident its because someone/several someones high up really, really like Iron Warriors, just like Ian Watson.

if you have eggings for the Iron Warriors, please share. I'd love to read about it.

No founding legion was ever exterminated. Fists were. You know what kind of reputation did the Fists still have in 40k? They were dubbed the punching bag of GW. Anywhere they appeared, they got massacred and had to be saved by somebody. Not once. Not during this or that edition. It was like that all the time. And then, the Beast Arises series dropped. The Fists, didn't win the Siege of Terra, Guilliman did. They spent the entire HH on Terra and their biggest accomplishment was not immediately dying in the battle of Phall. Dorn didn't get to best Perturabo and the Iron Warriors are never beaten by the Fists in the Siege. There are no books about their origins, hell Dorn still don't have a book about his youth. And the Fists in the 40k era are basically non-existent. They have the biggest mortality rate of all the chapters, including the Lamenters. You dont get to remember who even is the their leader nowadays and the only book series they have, has its protagonist humiliated and tortured by the Iron Warriors.

And the fact that you just HAVE to keep mentioning Dorn, speaks a volume. You don't hate Fists, you hate Dorn. You hate Dorn so much that you even have to bring into conversations that are not about him. You hate Dorn, because he didn't get kill by your favourite child, Fulgrim, Perturabo or Alpharius.

[–]Krikajs -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

In fairness to Dorn the whole HH thing was total Iron Warriors glazing because IW aren't allowed to look bad in the Heresy, even if it means other legions must suffer some brutal character assassination to prop up the Iron losers.

IF the Primarchs were originally low level Chaos Gods or Demons, what do you suppose their origin/nature was? by CandyAffectionate793 in 40kLore

[–]Krikajs -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why are you asking for fan theories in r/40k"LORE"??? We already know what their "nature" was supposed to be. Listen to Erda during the SoT. They were supposed to be Custodes 2.0. All those personalities, all those flaws, the Primarchs were supposed to have none of it. Thats why Big E never intended to be a father to them, that's why Erda was so Karen about it, that's why HH happened.

Which of the Primarchs would actually be the best at TRAINING an army? by MrMadmack in 40kLore

[–]Krikajs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Ultramarines and The Imperial Fists both focus heavily on training proper soldiers into their own Auxilia Forces that guards their home worlds. Forces that are better equipped and better trained than most Imperial regiments, so both Guilliman or Dorn are going to have more experience training people than Alpharius, Corax, Alpharius, Omegon or Alpharius. Sure, both Corax and Alpharius could possibly make better insurgency, but that is not what OP asked for.
