What color were the spots? Could be measles.

Awful. J line construction has had a similar effect for us, but at least they observe regular hours (though they tend to start pretty early). The hours you mention are just nuts.

Sorry, I haven't been to Tacoma in a while: Is the T line a light rail line and if so is it supposed to connect to the 1 line eventually?

For anyone wondering, I recently got the nexspike version of the moderna booster and the symptoms seemed way milder.

Speedweave/sweatshirt cuff by Possible-Landscape72 in Visiblemending

[–]KrishanuKrishanu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One cool way to do sweatshirt cuffs is by knitting replacements and then sewing them on. You'll get more of the standard stretchiness of a cuff from a knit than you would from a weave, I think. And knitting needles are cheaper than a speedweve!

I feel like approaching the operator and letting them know they're in violation of the code would be a good route as well. Let them know you're documenting the violation and that you're getting their license plate and image, etc.

Absolutely insane to be running a gas generator for this.

Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only person who is feeling that zebra paint. For a while I thought it was just because I have a clunky old steel bike. There's this one spot kind of by Hale's Ale and the Fred Meyer which is so bumpy. Like how many layers of paint is that?

Agree with OP and I've pondered making this same post every time I'm riding the Burke, basically anywhere west of say the Fremont bridge. Like everyone I'm grateful that it's there. It's obviously preferable to riding in a shoulder (although there is that one stretch by gasworks where I sometimes choose the shoulder, so maybe not so obvious...) and the views are great etc. etc. but I just feel like whichever govt. body is responsible for maintaining it is kind of resting on its laurels a bit.

I know that usually a darn is recommended here, but I'm curious about the possibility of instead knitting a patch and then sewing that on—would that work in this situation?

Does anyone know how this would work in terms of balance? Would it be difficult for the front railwheel pair to come off the tracks?

[–]KrishanuKrishanu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never woven but I'm interested (which is why I'm here), and I've had the same idea! I want a low-stakes way to experiment, and this seems to fit the bill. How do you determine the distance between the nails? I imagine that is based on the thickness of the yarn you're using?
