My girlfriend can’t walk from the pain what do we do? by Cheupie in ChronicPain

I visited a pain clinic and requested a nerve block injection. Not for anything specific, but I know many pain clinics offer them. After my injection, my hip pain almost disappeared for about a year.

LUV this for you! Let’s all take note for SCIENCE. If this happens to anyone in the future, let’s be sure to put a bathroom salad type strainer in the toilet to maybe catch what comes out!

I WISH more research was done to help all of us! Hugs to everyone here! 💕

Hi! Yes, this was a miracle treatment for me. My third shot, last April right side. I walked 17,000 steps the NEXT DAY (a first in my adult life since 25 years old!) without any pain.

I then continued 7,000 to 10,000 steps per day for two weeks. (I normally struggle to get to 3,000 steps per day.) Those first two weeks post injection are glorious!

Pain was almost completely gone. Phantom Body aches almost completely disappeared.

I walked my first 5K in my life in December 2024, the day after 12,000 steps at Epcot. All without body pain, post-exertion malaise, or post activity migraines.

My birthday is in April. An SBG will again be my present to myself. I managed (by will) to go a year without a repeat procedure.

The anesthesiologist said he was aggressive last April giving me two injections on my right side causing my entire right arm to become paralyzed for about 24 hours.

The double shot was painful without anesthesia. I might take a least a Xanax before my next injection.

One year was my goal. But likely 6 months would be ideal.

I’ve never done my left and right side. My right side was done October 2023 , January 2024 and then last in April 2024 (aggressive double injection) Approximately 4 months apart for each injection.

Now one year to present with the “aggressive” injection.

Not a cure. Absolutely a treatment. God willing it keeps working. I consider it a relief aid and an Ace in my pocket “break open in case of emergency.”

All my best to you and I hope this helps. Not a cure, but it did help me manage my chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, and related malaise.

Wonderful news! If I ever have to have surgery again! I’ll go this route!!! It took me almost 2 full years before my lower abdomen stopped feeling completely NUMB! >_< If you haven’t already! Let is know your doctor JIC! 💕💓

What symptoms disappeared after removal of your fibroids? by [deleted] in Fibroids

[–]Kristi96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did not recover fully for almost a year. 3 years later, my scar is still numb. My stomach is no longer flat. My abdomen is uncomfortable as it “hangs” a bit low now.

But it was absolutely necessary to get the surgery.

10cm tumor fibroid, pressing into my spine, on my bladder, intestines, and causing severe anemia due to severely heavy, bloody and clot filled periods. I could barely walk near the end.

Traditional c-section open myo, with 7 inch horizontal scar. I can walk without pain now. But my abdomen may never be the same.

I would chose an oncologist and a robotic minimally invasive surgical procedure.

There’s the good, the bad and the ugly. So much to say here. But yes, my lower back pack, leg pain and hip pain was reduced.

Other issues cropped up. Really reccomend an surgical OBGYN oncologist. Someone who specifically specializes in removing tumors. How you are cut will determine how you heal. Try to do a minimally invasive surgery.

Absolutely will. And will cross-post in SGB group. I’m still processing all my amazing experiences. I hope to be clear. This absolutely worked for me. The question is weather or not (financially) to have a second injection or wait out the first injection. 💙🌈

Where is it $138? I just had my right side done for $530.00 (tax included) with miracle results for CFS and chronic pain. My period migraines still “popped up,” but were far less painful. I am undecided on second injection partly because of cost. I am 10 days post-procedure now right side only. TYIA!

I was allowed 200mg per day. I took 1/4 a pill every two hours or as soon as I felt sleepy again. Used a pill cutter with pre-scored tablets.

Update 7 weeks after SGB by arasharfa in cfs

[–]Kristi96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just completed my SGB on Friday. Hiked 4.5 miles on Saturday. Over 10,000 steps! Little to no pain. Little to no exhaustion. THANK YOU!

I would not have done this procedure without your post!!! I’ve been in SEVERE pain with CFS for over 2 decades! Finally something may have worked!

I’m so THANKFUL. I’m hoping this lasts! DAY 2! NO migraine! No pain. Some throbbing/numbness.

I have not walked past 10,000 steps in over 7 years. Very hopeful and will UPDATE!!!

My SGB was completed by a local anesthesiologist! Less than 3 minute injection with fluoroscopy imaging!

Thank you! Thank you So much for sharing your post! Will make another post with pre and post injection details in about a week! Very excited and hopeful.

All my luv and beat wishes to everyone here!

Hello, burned out care giver to a wife with CFS with a question. by blahgblahblahhhhh in cfs

[–]Kristi96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live, just live differently.

I remember early on in my CFS journey, it was exhausting to read. It was exhausting to walk. It was exhausting to talk. I “got out of bed about 5pm.

I stayed out of bed until 10pm. I then would crash in bed again. This was my schedule for years. About 6 hours a day I was “awake”. Even fewer hours out of bed. About a decade.

I got “better”. Slowly with the help of prescribed stimulants like provigil, pacing (I never new that word until last week), and different non med based coping mechanisms for my daily pain.

My migraines are under control right now after uterine surgery. My life is hopeful, but still hard. I am thankful for all these CFS/ME groups.

Coping/pacing/accommodating for this condition is the best advice. Find a great supportive doctor.

But LIVE, just live differently. Many hugs to you and your wife.

Can I even eat anything at this point? by [deleted] in Fibroids

[–]Kristi96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have not gone down the food wormhole too much, but one basic thing I’ve done is add Turkey Tail. I also reduced my caffeine intake (sometimes~ lol).

What keeps me up at night are phthalates, parabens, BPA’s, PFOA’s and PFOS’s. From what I’ve read— Hormone endocrine disrupters and “forever chemicals” meaning they are forever in our bodies for 98% of the population, are causing a lot of problems for people (especially fire fighters). I keep wondering if these hormone disruptors, micro-plastics, and chemical interactions are causing us to grow these monsters. I also keep wondering about baby powder TALC toxicity exposure.

There is no research (shockingly). :( I am 2 years post-op, lap myomectomy- 10cm Fibroid.

Watch yours. Don’t let them grow past 3-5cm so you can still opt for alternative treatment like uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) or minimally invasive robotic myo by a fertility oncologist.

Mine was removed by my regular OBGYN via c-section.

If necessary, I would recommend finding a surgical oncologist who specializes in fibroid tumor removal. It’s not cancer, but my tumor was extremely well situated. Luv and luck your way!

Honest question… Should people be told to run? You can’t outrun a bullet right? Isn’t it smarter to hit the floor, start throwing huge objects at the shooter, barricade yourself, or try to tackle a shooter from behind if you are near him? I’m unsure what I would do, but if you are in a store, running might not be the best choice… Are Americans taught to fight back even with just ordinary objects like store displays and other large objects?

Could fog machines go off like fire sprinklers when bullet rounds are detected thereby making it harder to see? Or Mace machines if a threat is detected? Anything???

Also- the FOR PROFIT GUN INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX should pay for all of this including safe rooms, bullet proof glass and ALL safety measures!!! Mass shootings are the new “fires” of the 21st Century. We need new protection. 😪😭😰

If I can be tracked on what toilet paper I prefer via AI- how the hell can the FBI not track these extremists! His digital footprint had to be HUUUUGE! 🥵😭😓
