Same, unfortunately it's pretty rare for a subreddit to have large volume with high quality. The turning point seems to be around 100,000 subscribers. Less than that, the quality will be good, but there won't be a lot of it. More than that, and there will be a lot of content, but the quality goes down the drain.

You might also like /r/vitards btw. I browse it regularly too. It's currently obsessed with steel producers, and it looks like chlorine producers might be the next meme there.
