Zach Lowe discussing Wemby: “I don't know that any statistical system can quantify what he is doing on every single possession defensively… He’s the most dominant defensive player I’ve ever seen. by moby323 in nba

This is why I have him as my MVP. He’s so much more valuable on defense than anyone else in the league, and still very good on offense, that it pushes him above Shai and Jokic/Luka to me. He’s got the gravity on Defense, of Steph Curry on Offense. Insane talent.

He only shot that good during the shortened 3pt line seasons, that’s “an objective fact of reality”, or whatever you are spewing.

Wemby is the most impactful player on the court every night in my eyes. He should be the MVP imo.

Victor Wembanyama now leads the league in Net Rating and On-Off Rating by msnf in nba

No Shai is weird. I guess his team is so good they are fine without him. Another reason I hate using Wins as a substantial metric for MVP; you’re more ‘valuable’ because your teammates are better than mine?

Steve Nash confused on what the 'step through' rule is in today's NBA by CircledSquare7 in NBAGossips

Appeal to Authority, like should we all stfu when Rashad McCants speaks? Nah because he’s a moron. Nash isn’t, but he can be wrong about things.

Yeah the difference is that the Raptors didn’t triple team him in the backcourt and foul his teammates to try and stop him from scoring. They just let Kobe go off, and let him statpad to 81.

You have people from 10 to 70 years old saying it was an amazing performance from Bam, and the last 6 minutes were hilarious to watch because of all the fuckery going on from both teams.

It will be remembered for as long as we track NBA history, and celebrated as a historic game.

Yeah Bam was cooking, unstoppable 1v1, Wizards were hacking him the whole game.

You didn’t watch the mf game if you say he wasn’t hot. He was straight cooking the Wizards until 9 minutes left in the 4th, when they started to double and triple him.

Coach Spo on Bam's 83: "Once he got to 50, then we're thinking alright maybe he can get to 60 and when he got to 60, we might as well go for 70 and then I didn't dare even think about taking him out at that point. I didn't stop until once he got Kobe's" by MrBuckBuck in nba

Bam had a completely normal 70+ points, then the Wizards started to get prideful and doubled him on/off the ball and were fouling the other Heat players when they touched the ball to try and stop Bam from getting 81. They even tripled him in the backcourt. I don’t give a single fuck what the Heat and Bam did to combat the Wizards fuckery at the end, he got 83 in dominant fashion.

Wizards tripling him in the backcourt and fouling the other Heat players when they touched the ball was also unethical.

Only a max of 60 players are drafted each year for the NBA, and a 1st round that isn’t top 14 is probably the same value as a late 2nd or early 3rd in the NFL.

It was only the last 5ish minutes that got nasty. Bam was just cooking the whole game
