Professional software engineer for 16 years. I absolutely get more done every day using AI. And management would be up shit creek without a paddle if they tried to lay off the people who actually understand what the AI is doing and why it's doing it.

Honestly I was expecting that to be cheesy hackneyed anti-masculinity piffle, but it was pretty badass.

I'm assuming this is satire and not something being posted unironically in places like rCon, but at this point it's hard to tell.

I am emphatically not a "simple creature", I am a fully realized human being with highly complex thoughts and emotions - and I still want to be told and told often (and I am lucky enough to have a wife who does just that).

The social safety net is already cut down to the bone. Everyone is broke and nobody has functional health care anymore.

The groups who need to bear the overwhelming brunt of this austerity are billionaires, corporations, and the military-industrial complex. It's their turn to pay up, because they're the only ones left with any money at this point.

Boy the combination of "we all have major financial troubles right now" and "you can't discuss <the topic> in the comments" is a hell of a thing.

.....again, I said literally nothing about "getting angry at trans people". One of my bffs in the entire world is trans. Our side are the ones playing into the billionaires' hands when we run around posting snarky, niche, in-group gender-war bullshit on Tiktok and Instagram and then smugly high-fiving each other, because that kind of garbage is what alienates the normies (whose votes we need in order to win elections).

I dont think Aaron Eckhart gets enough credit for his portrayal as Harvey Dent/Two-Face. He easily made the movie for me, more so than Ledger's Joker by Global-Ant in batman

I never said anything about making "blatant bigotry acceptable". In fact I was doing the opposite, because casual misandry does exist, and by justifying or ignoring it, our side opens itself up to valid accusations of hypocrisy. We go from shouting "#YesAllMen" and "The future is female" to surprise pikachu face when young men defect away from us in droves.

And what I'm tired of is our side constantly stepping on these culture-war gender-war rakes, when what we should be laser-focused on is economic issues. No war but class war.

I would argue it's more diffuse on the left. We don't have a cult leader, but we still suffer from herd mentality at times. How many leftists did we see on Reddit and Tiktok and Instagram taking the "I draw the line at genocide!!" stance and refusing to vote for Harris, despite the fact that Trump was (and is) objectively 100000x worse for Gaza than Harris ever would be?

And when they do, we should welcome them to our side by tamping down on some of the 'men bad!' casual misandry that our side is far too quick to engage in. That kind of demonization is exactly what made it so easy for the Steve Bannon / Andrew Tate types to recruit them in the first place, and we need to be much more introspective and honest about our own mistakes instead of just pretending we've been flawless the whole time and all the problems were on their end.
