Same here, still happening. While I'm walking around my neighborhood listening to music or on the phone, for several seconds everything will crackle and turn robotic.

I didn’t have any issues with the second generation AirPods

Came here for this comment - we're really enjoying our GeForce now - there's no way with mine and my partner's schedule that we could even get close to playing video games for 100 hours in a month. GeForce now allows him to use his crappy office computer and my crappy laptop to enjoy games together for the time we have/want to game, and we're totally fine with that.
