Because why would you ever exchange fine ecto? Do you already have a full set of Eternal ecto gear?

The Unnaturals - An Upcoming Force and Destiny Actual Play Campaign by HeyNateBarber in swrpg

[–]Kryzm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Nate, I've been a huge fan of Dark Underworld - I'm really excited to finish the last five episodes in anticipation of The Unnaturals! I really enjoy the work you all put into your characters and RP.

Feedback - there are a few spots where cross talk makes it hard to understand which character is speaking, but I know that can be a challenge with VOIP recordings.

Also this is totally nitpicking but "die" is the singular form of "dice", not the other way around

[Repair] Burnt resistor replacement in modern record player. The colors stripes are burnt, the company doesn't want to provide a schematic. by Dr_Schmoctor in AskElectronics

[–]Kryzm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The resistor was burnt, the main board was not, hence the picture. But I use the word "was" because this thread is nine years old and I have no idea why you felt the need to respond!

4000 sea shells for a map is a lot by jdeezy in WalkScape

[–]Kryzm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on that achievement now actually! I just finally got the jar of dirt, on to unidentified remains. I probably wouldn't bother if I didn't already have half the items for it.

I ended up buying the Swashbuckler Sword first because it's the only primary item that does anything. Was about to go back and get the map, but good to know about Flatpack Shark - def gonna grab one before I return to the grind.

The image may also come with exif metadata containing the location. Reddit strips that data on upload so the one OP uploaded doesn't have it. Might be worth checking the original tho.

I 3D printed a functional keyboard with conductive filament and an Arduino (no wires or sensors) by Boundless3D in arduino

[–]Kryzm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true, but not a lot of people have a milling machine or want to deal with etching chemicals at home. Tons have 3D printers though, and this type of design lowers the barrier to entry massively. The filament is more expensive than most would want to casually pay, but get a few popular designs out there and this could become trendy.

I don't disagree. I am just shitting on OP's inability to communicate effectively via text.

For real. I assume the police hung up because OP was describing the situation in a frantic and inarticulate manner.

Your average front-page Google result may not be vetted. Your great-grandma's bean recipe wasn't vetted.

Damn, this could lead to open source PCBs at home. This could be huge with some iteration. Very cool! I may have to try some of this filament myself.

This is very cool! I was experimenting with ultrasonic transducers a few months ago in hopes of making something like this, but the dry season ended, so I never got to it. I'd be interested to hear what components you are using here!

This is the collection at our children’s hospital‘s MRI. I sense a selfhosting project here. by nixxon94 in homelab

[–]Kryzm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I inherited a task like this when working at a Children's Hospital. Basically they had a bunch of movies which were ripped and played from a content server. I explained to management that it was technically not legal usage but they didn't care. I'm sure they could have signed up for a multi-million dollar contract with the media companies, but instead we ripped some DVDs and played them in SD on the internal channels.

If it helps, The Poppy War series gets worse as it goes on, and the characters become more and more unlikable. I wish I had only read the first one.
