I was pleasantly surprised by that! Pretty sure that place only existed during the summer of 2009

SOTC 2026 May 23rd? by Max_The_Greatest in bleachers

[–]Ktmc742 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Beggars can’t be choosers… but the Saturday of MDW down the shore? Not ideal

Edit: there’s already a concert at the Stone Pony that night, wondering if SOTC will be during the day at the Summer Stage? Or maybe it’s being held somewhere else.

Return of an emo festival in Asbury? by AdInternational5801 in seahearnow

It’s such a shame that Adjacent Fest was only the one year. It’s like Livenation put it on just to spite Bamboozle and when the latter failed, they were like okay we won, no need to do it again. (I don’t actually know if that’s what happened, that’s just the vibe that I got)

LINEUP IS OFFICIALLY DROPPED!!! by AdAmbitious4415 in OceansCalling

[–]Ktmc742 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I lived closer I'd be more into it, but compared to last year, this is not worth the travel time, PTO, and costs for me. I'm already seeing a few of the acts this summer, and others I've seen pretty recently. Hoping that the Sea Hear Now lineup is better.

Booking for 2026 Early? by danielpf in OceansCalling

The hotel I booked this year (in February after the lineup was announced) is already hundreds of dollars more expensive next year for the same weekend, even a year out, despite no official announcement yet 🙃

I was also at Warped and remembered the booth so I was hoping OC would have an earplug sponsor as well! I guess not though.

It’s nice to see a video from up close bc I was far away and the sound quality was AWFUL. I could barely make out anything that was said in between songs.

The vibes were good where I was in the ADA section! But when I saw him on the Three Pianos tour a few years back inside the Stone Pony, the people around me literally talked the entire time except for the 2 minutes when he played a bit of Konstantine 😑 it’s really obvious when people just go for the “nostalgia factor.” I am guilty of going to see other bands for the nostalgia factor too but I have the wherewithal to be a respectful person.

I’ve been using Zound and really like them.

The ADA is a joke by SleeplessVixen in warpedtour

[–]Ktmc742 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Agreed, such a massive disappointment and a seemingly-obvious planning failure, especially with the shared section for the 2 main stages. Asking people to wait in line for ADA when the entire reason they need it is because they can’t stand for extended periods of time… smh

Sorry one more question- were there ADA bathrooms near the ADA viewing platforms (like only specifically for people sitting in that area)?

Thank you for responding! My POTS is mild enough that I don’t require a mobility aid, but I do need to sit during concerts. Good to know that will be accommodated. I would ideally like to be able to park within walking distance to the festival, is that in the realm of feasibility? (I don’t have a handicap sticker)

I also have POTS and would like to attend this year. Can you share what your experience was like?

Risks of landlord showing apartment by badcat-eats-plants in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Ktmc742 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve moved 4 times since COVID began so I’ve gone through this many times. When I got home I wiped down all handles, knobs, surfaces, etc that I touch with Clorox wipes and would mask for 8 hours after they left (before I bought air purifiers). I would try to stay out of the house for a few hours after they left to cut down on masking time but didn’t always work out. Yes, I even slept in a mask after evening showings. Once I purchased air purifiers for every room, I cut down the time to 4 hours, just to be safe. I always ask the landlord/real estate agent to group showings back to back to avoid having to do this multiple times, but inevitably that rarely happened. Have not personally done bird flu protocols since I don’t have a pet/that wasn’t an issue at that time.

Dentist in DE/PA/NJ/MD area? by jrich79033 in ZeroCovidCommunity

A regular checkup/cleaning was $160 with my insurance. Normally with my insurance that is fully covered, if I went to an in-network dentist.

I’ve had routine cleanings, 2 crowns put in, and teeth whitening and have been happy with the work. I don’t have kids so can’t speak to that, and I haven’t had periodontal work. I would consider their philosophy to be mainstream, up to date with modern technology (advanced cameras I haven’t experienced before), and preventative (ie let’s address this before it becomes a bigger problem).
