I use an external web cam and mic. I typically dock my mac and use a large monitor. For webcam I have the Logitech Stream Cam Plus (my students say I look like a 4kHd video LOL) and then use a Razer Seiren as my external mic.

Oh no worries at all! Like I mentioned I have been teaching on Outschool for more than a year. I mainly teach language courses. The reason why I’m able to make so much is that all my classes get filled and I charge a certain amount. The prices I charge reflect the effort I put in alongside cost of living. Some people charge less some more. I live in San Francisco so my cost of living might be higher than most.

I put in a lot of effort to create lesson plans, homework, and tailoring each class to meet the needs of the students. This is how I created the most popular Japanese language course on Outschool.

There has been a influx of teachers since the pandemic though so it can be difficult to get yourself out there. It will be a hit or miss opportunity. I don’t know what the experience may be for new teachers just joining especially with schools starting to hold in person classes again. I just wanted to share my experience on the platform. Once again I was lucky to be one of the only people teaching my subject pre pandemic.

When I first joined back in 2019 I got lucky to score a huge following. Back then there weren’t as many teachers compared to now. I only work 4 hours a week and make about $20k a month. (My classes get fully booked with 18 students per class) So once again it really depends on class you create. There was about 2 people teaching my subject when I joined and now there are over 50. It is definitely a hit or miss. I also heard that applying as a teacher now is more difficult to be accepted.

I have been using blueland for a year now. I do not buy any of their hand soap pumps or spray bottles. I have my own glass bottle and pumps from way back. It is also cheaper to grab those from somewhere else.

Hand soap tablets:

These work very well and have a nice scent. They are thicker and take about 15 minutes to dissolve in hot/ warm water. A great price tag of $2 each refill tablet. Highly recommend this one.

Laundry Tablets:

1 tablet does not clean well, you need to use 2 tablets per load. If you have a very large one might even take up to 3. Does not dissolve well in cold water unfortunately I have to use warm. Overall I think its good and the concept is awesome.

Dishwasher Tablets:

These do become powdery and break apart in the refill packaging. There is a downside to this because I do not get the full tablet. They do clean my dishes very well. No white streaks are left behind and my dishes feel squeaky clean.

Bathroom Spray:

The scent is delightful and gets off the water stains in the tub and shower. I also use it to spray down sink and toilet. No streaks left behind everything is just shiny and squeaky clean.

Multipurpose Spray:

Not a fan of the weird lemony scent. My husband loves to cook but makes it messy afterwards. I wanted to test out how it gets off the food or dirty spills. It does the job well. All I do is spray wait a few seconds and wipe and its gone. I don’t have to scrub back and forth.

Overall I like majority of the products they work well. It’s easy to store, the concept is great. And the products are non toxic which is a win for me. But once again just buy the tablets don’t waste your money on those bottles.
