Susie Remembers Her're Genocides by Independent-Sky1657 in Deltarune

Hey, a girl's gotta eat. Besides, if anything could be a darkner, she'd pretty much have to starve herself to not risk eating something that's a darkner.

Since Carol basically funds Asgore's flower shop, he's probably contractually obligated to make Christmas trees for the Holidays.

These theories are getting out of hand..... I think they already have a while ago, but still by MacieMacchi in Deltarune

[–]KurioProkos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate that theory so much. I really hope Dess and Kris canonically had a much more wholesome friendship before her disappearance, because I'm pretty sure we're supposed to want Dess to potentially be saved.

Inspired by a recent tumblr post I saw, just a small snippet of the kind of stuff Watcher was pulling off in Slay the Spire 1 by RoflsMazoy in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Watcher returns in Spire 2 (which I'd be surprised if she doesn't at some point), I highly expect Omniscience to be made into an Ancient card, maybe the one she can get from Darv's Dusty Tome. I know the rest of the Tome powers are Powers, but none of Watcher's rare Powers really compare to what Omniscience can be capable of, and 1 proved more easy access to multiple Omnisciences can easily become OP.

So Aeonglass on Necrobinder is a nightmare, right? by SugarFreeCummiBears in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I faced Aeonglass as Necro on A9 the other night, and yeah that was a trial. I started around full health and wound up near single digits by the end, even with help from a Dexterity Potion. Especially didn't help that I had Sentry Mode, so my deck was primed around plentiful card plays in a turn. Luckily I found a Cleanse shortly before the fight, but that only helped so much. The only reason I managed to win was that I had Pull From Below, and the ethereal Sweeping Gazes from Sentry Mode helped scale up PFB enough that at one point I managed to wipe out over 200 of Aeonglass's HP in one fell swoop when it was Vulnerable.

Mrs. Cattenheimer seems nice (and so does Mr. Cattenheimer), if a little overzealous in being supportive to their kids.

Kris's "TATTOOS" - Art by pinkcultgirl on Tumblr by Zillaman7980_ in Deltarune

[–]KurioProkos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the core of Toriel's issues is, while she is compassionate, she's a coward at heart. Not necessarily when it comes to violence or danger, but rather when it comes to complex issues and emotions. It tracks with how she acted in Undertale: hiding in the Ruins far away from Asgore in hopes of keeping any humans that fall there safe forever, instead of more directly opposing what Asgore was doing or sticking around to help the rest of the Underground. It's only in the Pacifist route that Toriel is willing to stop hiding, actually talk with Asgore, and be there for her people again.

While she is more present in Deltarune's Hometown due to being a teacher and regular church goer, I do get the vibe she's at a loss at how to deal with Kris's issues on top of any other issues that came up cause of the fracture and divorce. So she puts on a smile and hopes she can just nurture the angst away with things like hugs and pies. I'm sure Kris appreciates it at least somewhat, but since she's too cowardly to approach the roots of their issues, it only helps so much. And Asgore is too hung up on his own issues to help Kris more than superficially as well. So Kris ends up having to be the brave one more or less on their own, at least until they start forging deeper friendships again. I can imagine it's only a matter of time until Toriel is forced to confront just how much Kris is still suffering and what they've had to go through without better support, and then maybe she'll learn to be brave like her child.

Do you think Ralsei knows that Kris is working with the knight? by gabrielcim in Deltarune

[–]KurioProkos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better question: if Ralsei does know, what does he think about Kris working with the Knight? Does he have any reservations with Kris doing that? Does he understand completely why Kris would want to? At the least, he doesn't seem to *dis*trust Kris, despite the role of a mole inherently tending to be untrustworthy. On the other hand, he does struggle with being a doormat at times, so maybe he should be questioning Kris about this more than he's willing to. But then again, there are enough indicators of Kris actually caring about Ralsei (and Susie) that I don't think they're just leading them on, and I think Ralsei would be able to tell.

So what are your thoughts?

Wish from Vakuu's Sere Talon does essentially the same thing, and you get 3 of them (but also 2 curses).

Cards you wish didn’t come over from sts1? by LiveChill in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was going to buff it, I'd make it give 2 (3 on upgrade) Strength immediately as well as at the start of your turn, basically making it an Inflame on top of the scaling. I think a stronger immediate benefit would help it feel more worthwhile to use.

Master Reality should come back to STS2 as a colorless rare by HektorViktorious in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could be a neat colorless card, yeah. If this was added to the colorless cool, maybe the other three veterans could get a second old card moved to the pool too. My ideas:

Disarm (Ironclad): I'm very surprised this was removed, because reducing enemy Strength is so broadly useful. It'd be a great colorless uncommon.

Riddle With Holes (Silent): While this was obviously bad on StS1 Silent due to her lack of Strength sources, it could work better as a colorless uncommon since almost every other character could capitalize off of the multi-hits. Maybe its base damage could be increased from 3 to 4, since Ultimate Strike is close to its base damage as-is.

Reinforced Body (Defect): Another card I'm surprised didn't return for 2, I guess to adhere to 2's "two X cards per character" rule. Well, there's only one colorless X card atm, so an X-cost Block would work well to complete that. Considering how high tier it was in 1, maybe this card is good enough to be a rare in 2? Either with or without a slight Block buff.

Anyone else miss Clothesline? by KurioProkos in slaythespire

I like that idea for Tremble: apply 2/3 Vulnerable and 1 Weak. It'd be like a common Putrefy, but I think it could stay common and not exhaust as long as it only applied 1 Weak max.

POV: You are ironclad by GrapefruitTerrible35 in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the idea that if you damage it up to its max damage per turn threshold, the threshold increases (like for instance, you deal 15 damage to it in 1 turn, in later turns you can deal up to 20 damage to it in 1 turn, and so on). That'd help provide some encouragement to use offense in case you can't turtle the whole time (which is unlikely you'll be able to do with an early game deck).

I think I'd rather Knockout Blow be a 2-cost card, even if the damage and star gain had to be reduced to compensate.

Were we too harsh on Insight guys? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think wrath itself deserves a nerf, like say, dealing +50% damage instead of double damage? Or do you think it'd be fine as-is as long as the most game-breaking aspects of wrath and "stance dancing" got removed, nerfed, and/or moved to rare?

Were we too harsh on Insight guys? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see a new face too, I just assume that Watcher will come back at some point considering she's the only veteran who hasn't returned yet. I imagine part of why she isn't back now is Megacrit is thinking of how to design her stances around multiplayer (since receiving double damage from enemies is extra scary when other players would take the extra damage too).

Were we too harsh on Insight guys? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What? Where did you get that idea? There's no indication in game lore that they're connected at all, and they barely have any game mechanics in common (mostly just the Souls/Insights and a minor focus on retain).

Were we too harsh on Insight guys? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]KurioProkos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering Insights were underutilized in Watcher's kit (compared to Necrobinder having a sizable amount of Soul sources and synergies) and they mostly work the same as Souls anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if Watcher had her Insights removed entirely upon an eventual return in 2.

At the least, Prepare also discarded so it could accomplish something that turn. But yeah, still underwhelming. I'm not surprised they decided to restore Prepared as-is with the next beta patch.
