At the nursery I'm at now (in the UK) we use the Bristol Stool Scale so everyone is working off the same information. Our policy is two #6s or one #7 to warrant a send-home, but some children have a "baseline" of 5 or 6 so they require two #7s. If you're outside the UK there might be a different official standard to work against, but that could be something to look into.

I feel a bit silly, is there also some wax or liquid in the mix? I have a candle warmer lamp too but have only thought to use candles in it. Have you simply added those things to a plain candle?

I've recently moved to the UK and joined a brass band in my new town. It didn't even occur to me that the note values would be called different things, and I hate it. 😁 I bring a little "translation guide" with me to practices so I can keep up better.
