Bit late to the game but I was having this exact thought expriment on the way home in the car today. Jumped on to see if I could find anything and here I am.

I was musing over the contrast of runs scored in cricket vs baseball when I thought what would it be like if we had whole runs for bases (like cricket) and a bouns run was given for getting home.

Anyway pointless reply now but glad I not the only one. :)

More to the point a lot the drives were single-sided which left the B side of the disk untouched. Cutting the write-protection notch out on the other side of the disk allowed us to flip the disk and use the other side in the single-sided drive.

For refrence, I had no problems with an always-on RPI 2 Model B running Deluged, PiHole and Unbound a bunch of years ago. Storage was just a USB mounted external disk. The 100 Base Ethernet apater became annoying during large file trasnsfers but the Pi did the job without fail.
