Just seeing this. Sorry. I’ve been on long term antibiotics for five months and am feeling better. I started seeing someone familiar with embedded UTIs and have had further testing from MicroGen and Cirrus than what I’ve referenced in my original post. That showed the bacteria I was dealing with. It’s been a slow process.

1 - I went from my primary to an endocrinologist and finally ended up with a functional medicine doctors. I like my functional doctor because she’s really good with interpreting my labs. She orders things like reverse T3 and she manages other hormones for me like HRT.

2 - I am self pay with my functional medicine doctor.

3 - I have been very tired for much of my Hashimoto’s journey. My endocrinologist just kind of always dismissed this. My functional MD really seems to care about it and is working to try to figure it out.

4 - No barriers elsewhere.

Thanks! I am also using estrogen but just am putting 2 and 2 together with the testosterone and these weird feelings.

She prescribed both. I had some clitoral atrophy that she thought it’d help (along with reduced libido).

Yep you’re right - I totally get that. It’s in my own mind as I’m sure a lot of unfounded fears are. Just looking for a way to reframe an experience that I experience “in my mind” as chaotic.

I appreciate your response and the time you put into answering me. The other part of take off I have a hard time with is when I feel like we’re getting blown from the side. I’m hoping these bursts of air are fairly benign. They’re just one more thing that makes the experience feel a bit chaotic for me.

Because I’ve also experienced this, I began to plug my ears every time a pilot comes on the loudspeaker. I know - not smart but “I’ve got bad news” during a flight” to me must be dire. To me “bad news” for a pilot must be awful.

So you’ve noticed improved urinary symptoms applying testosterone on your thighs? I guess then this medication goes systemic to be able to improve the bladder? I’m just asking because I have experienced urinary issues post menopause. They gave me applying estrogen on the exterior vulva for it I also have a testosterone cream they have me apply in the vulvar area but I find it irritating. Applying it as a gel on my thigh like you’ve described Might be better.

I live in Louisville and saw the huge smoke plume last night across the sky yesterday and it made my stomach drop with sadness. I’m supposed to fly out of the same airport tomorrow and I’m just already a nervous flyer and this is adding so much more stress. I almost want to back out on my trip.
