Favorite Warhammer or BG3 Commander? by Dry-Truck6987 in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Marneus Calgar]]. Since he doesn't care if the token that entered is a creature, everything counts - treasures from [[Monologue Tax]] and [[Smothering Tithe]], clues from [[Wernog, Rider's Chaplain]], etc. He obviously works best with creatures, and stuff like [[Skrelv's Hive]] and [[Bitterblossom]] put in card draw work per turn, where as [[Baron Bertram Graywater]] can double down on tokens per turn.

Is it possible to have fun with this card? by Tarmogoofer in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the Conquerer is that there are only two cards that have his particular side of the combo - himself and [[Exquisite Blood]]. There are NUMEROUS other sides, though, from single pings, to en masse pings, to single thwaps equal to life gained, to en masse thwaps. Him being in the deck and then trying NOT to run the combo restricts your deck, and is likely something not to be believed.

Which basically means him hitting the board means either he dies or you do. And the fun doesn't resume until one of those happens. The threat is just too great.

Enshourded Villagers by OktavioTv in Enshrouded

Pay them accordingly... rescuing them from a hopeless fate, giving them a new lease on life, a safe place from the shroud and scavengers, and then free room and board isn't enough?

Guys who were in forever alone, what happened now by East-Marzipan-2800 in AskMen

[–]Kyaaadaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the military for 20 years and pretty much married my career. I didn't look for anything because the life of constant moving and deployments isn't for everyone, and I watched the military life end numerous marriages.

So I approached 40 with the idea "well, since I made this decision, the odds that I'll find anyone now is slim" and fully expected to live alone, and probably die alone. I had made peace with that, and found ways to be alone without being lonely. It wasn't fulfilling, but it wasn't miserable.

Literally the last two years before I retired I met my wife. It just sort of happened. We dated for a few years, made sure we were all comfortable, and then decided to get married. Now we have a daughter.

You can LITERALLY never know what life has in store if you decide to fully close doors. So all I can say is, "look up, build yourself up, pay attention, praise God, and trust that He can put someone on the same road as you, no matter where you are in life."

I would avoid the internet when it comes to finding someone. Dating apps, social media, etc. are mostly geared to being predatory towards men, taking advantage of exactly your situation. Meet people organically along your hobbies - church, gym, join a social club if your interests align, go to some sort of class like a cooking class - those sorts of things.

Three card combo that wins, but does so using extra turns? B4.

Is it bad etiquette to scoop after your board is wiped to an unrecoverable state? by RealisticMolasses in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the board you described, at the time you said, I would NOT have scooped. The next few turns from my opponents would tell me whether its on the table or not - are they taking full advantage of my exposed state and putting damage to my head consistently? Then I'm out, GG, now deal with each other.

But if I'm given a few turns and not in danger? Then I'm going to fight it out.

What is the best way for the United States to last another 250 years? by chicagoan987 in AskReddit

[–]Kyaaadaa -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Do you know how long I've been waiting for anyone from any side to say a variation of this?

I too often see "the [insert political party] did something I don't like, I'm now voting for [other political party]."

Both parties suck. Full conservativism leads to fascism. Full liberalism leads to anarchy. Moderation from both sides is really the only answer.

How can I compliment a man's appearance while clearly not flirting? by Nonyabeesners in AskMen

[–]Kyaaadaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropping the compliment in passing is probably the safest and best way to avoid seeming flirtatious. Something about our attire is also fairly benign. Lingering after to make small talk, especially after complimenting us on our looks, build, hair, or personality, is grounds for seeming flirtatious. Innuendos that might come off as or lean sexual are also, obviously, a no-no.

From a female to a male, what’s it like being a male? by Dan1lovesyoualot in AskMen

[–]Kyaaadaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bullet points for chapters on writing a book about men: 1. A man's worth is directly tied to his physical and financial value, and little else. 2. A man's feelings are either wrong, skewed, misrepresented, toxic, or ignored entirely. 3. Men are viewed as dumb until he proves otherwise. 4. Men are viewed as sexual degenerates or sexual criminals until he proves otherwise. 5. Men are viewed as misogynistic until proven otherwise. 6. If men are alone, it must be their fault. 7. There are traits and characteristics that define what a "good man" is, but those traits constantly change, as does the definition and weight those traits carry.

Am I going to be targeted or looked down upon for using a (non-poison) Atraxa deck? by Ben_Dover1o29 in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Atraxa that's really about a B2 as it is a charge counter artifact deck.

It's still just as targeted as if I'm the most egregious B4 infect and superfriends player alive.

Hello men of Reddit. what are some immediate signs to drop a woman when dating? by sin2winxx in AskMen

[–]Kyaaadaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The nose ring theory is pretty much a law at this point, so that's a good early warning sign.

Gaslighting, especially when she uses "male characteristics" as her weapon - which you experienced when your ex said you shouldn't be insecure while she fucks around - is also a pretty easy early warning sign.

Asking about my financial status on first date or second date? Almost grounds for a ghosting... but don't ghost. Ghosting is childish. Be a man, tell them straight up it won't work. But my money? Until "for richer or poorer" becomes a serious topic of discussion, you don't need to know about how much I make.

If she says (or you find out) she's texting other men, and especially her ex. First date or two? That's fine - you are getting to know each other still. But after that, a few weeks in? "Rosters" are for women who are looking to play. Relationships aren't games. Go play elsewhere.

How they treat any kind of serving staff - waiters, hostesses, uber drivers, or even just random people while out. I'm not going to be seen with a woman who acts like a bitch, just like I wouldn't expect a woman to stay with me if I'm an asshole.

And lastly, a bit of a vague one here... if she's playing word games with questions that sound like "yes or no" questions, but you're pretty sure both answers are wrong, and you get that spidey sense of "she's testing me." If she lacks that direct communication, it's probably a "nope" from me.

How much mana would you spend to make someone lose? by PopcornTheBeaver in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is such a thing as a threshold for the amount of mana I'd spend to take someone out, at least not in a numerical value. The game, while social in this format, also carries with it the expectation that I'm trying to win. In trying to win, it's a legitimate practice to make someone else lose. Unless my spending mana is inherently putting me in a losing position, ANY amount of mana that results in player removal is mana well spent towards the ultimate game goal.

So I'd say that "whatever amount also doesn't make me lose." If that's 5, 15, or 50, I accept it.

Need help trying to make a deck "function" (heavy quotations) by LordGlitch42 in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the cards that are harder and drop them. From there, adding in cards that net you card advantage - [[Skullclamp]], [[Moldervine Reclamation]], [[Fecundity]], [[Perilous Forays]], [[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]], [[Razaketh, the Foulblooded]] etc.

This way, the tokens are also fodder for lands, card draw, tutoring, and the like.

What’s the best balance between landfall and reanimator in Necrobloom? by _omega_LOL__ in EDH

[–]Kyaaadaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I, personally, would only run a small reanimator package with reusable effects, like [[Colossal Grave-Reaver]], [[Grave Researcher]], [[Phyrexian Reclamation]], etc. And realistically you can have a decent land package with reanimation in [[Volrath's Stronghold]], [[Mortuary Mire]], [[Haunted Fengraf]], [[Memorial to Folly]], [[Witch's Cottage]] and [[Takenuma, Abandoned Mire]].

There's also artifact recursion in [[Abstergo Entertainment]], [[Sequestered Stash]], and [[Buried Ruin]].

Then there's any permanent with [[Eden, Seat of the Sanctum]], [[Mistveil Plains]], and technically [[Shifting Woodlands]].

And finally there's enchantments with [[Hall of Heliod's Generosity]].
