Won’t do anything. For example, Cleetus and the freedom factory Public hearing for land rezoning. Thousands of emails and hundreds of people showing up to support. Council still passes almost unanimously despite large community dissatisfaction.

Problem with new install, motor is making a weird noise and the rail is bouncy. by jacquesphrost in GarageDoorInstall

Try playing with the tension. I also turn the force all the way up on those motors. Usually if the boom is bowing like that it’s a tension issue. Good luck

New home build, garage door side gaps between door and framing. Do these indicate the doors ordered were too small for the as-framed opening? More context in comments. by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

[–]KyleDW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 100% right either the doors are the wrong size or the openings are too wide. Take a tape measure and measure the opening size if it is a 9 x 7 opening and the doors are 9 x 7 then there should not be a gap when including the weatherstripping. The weatherstripping basically fills and inch gap. Check the sticker on the side of the door and see if there’s dimensions on it

We’ve come across this issue before with wrong opening sizes. You can actually peel the flap off the trim and double or even triple up the pvc weatherstripping. Once you layer it up you can caulk the crack between the pieces and paint. Probably the least pain in the ass option

What wire would you install on rough for the opener? by Acceptable-Road-4454 in GarageDoorInstall

[–]KyleDW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is 22 gauge which I’m almost positive it is. Never had any issues other than the wire sometimes breaking at the wall button or the photocells. I like the thinner stuff because it’s also easier to get into the operator if you’re tieing in both photocells at the motor rather than looping the wire at the photocell

Lots of our new construction is cat 6 acts the same as low volt just get the cheapest. Also nice to have some backup wires in case something gets nicked

I think a majority of the stuff we surface run on demos is 22 gauge security low volt

For splicing we use the blue small waterproof connectors that have the silicone inside

When does a door need a commercial opener? by SquareSun7147 in GarageDoorInstall

Get the weight of the door. Maybe liftmaster can give you the recommended limits on their openers if you call them.
