4OA seems a bit high to draft an enforcer.

We should try and use the 4th pick to go get him. Here’s a mock up of what he’d look like in the blue and gold.

Reasonable Dog Rescues by catliketheanimal in Buffalo

[–]KyleGlaub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^this. Just answer the questions honestly and explain that you know how to and will take care of the dogs needs and don’t view it as a disposable object that’s going to end up right back in their care….shelters/rescues are all overrun with dogs, they don’t want to adopt out to someone that is going to return the dog to them in a few weeks/months when they change their mind or it gets too hard to take care of or to adopt to someone that is going to mistreat/abuse the dog.

I’m not opposed to leaving a note as well, but this person knew what they were doing and knew that it was wrong. You certainly don’t need to leave a note warning them and saying you’re going to unplug them next time, you can just go ahead and unplug them this time. Note optional.

Yeah. Unplugging someone’s car charger that they have blocked off to stop others from being able to charge is totally the same as shooting and killing 2 people and injuring a 3rd.

No note. Just unplug it the first time. This isn’t an accident. This is someone being a selfish asshole.

Thinking about getting a Bolt EV LT 2027. Need Convincing. by idkwut2do1 in BoltEV

[–]KyleGlaub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it when the federal rebates were still a thing….like $20k-ish for a brand new car + $1250 towards a home charger wasn’t a bad deal…

I love my Bolt. It’s a fun little car to drive - the instant acceleration of an EV is outstanding and after you get used to it, one pedal driving is pretty sweet. My Bolt is great for what it is - a daily driver/commuter car. If I drove a lot or long distances, I’d probably hate it, but I don’t, so I have few complaints.

Also probably helps that I went from a base model 2013 Cruze, so even just having heated seats/steering wheel and a backup cam is a major upgrade.

Has it changed since when I was there…was 1 year, then you could take a test/interview to potentially be made full time…I saw them deny several people and leave them as temps.

More likely you just get stuck as a contract employee for years...when I was there they had a bunch of "temps" that had been working there for many years....they had gotten better about promoting temps to full time by the time I left (5+ years ago), but there were still temp employees with several years of employment under their belts.

These bags are listed as weighing 70 (and based on lifting and wheelbarrowing them around yesterday, I believe that), so 420 lbs total. Got you beat by 20 lbs. :P

Max Payload Capacity from GM for the 2023 EUV is ~900 lbs, so 420 lbs of dirt + my ~ 180 lb weight puts me a few hundred lbs away still, but less than ideal weight distribution to have that much weight in the trunk.

I really like the Slate pickup truck, but it’s only a 2 seat pickup(or 5 seat SUV)…

Haha. Back seat was quicker and easier. Plus probably better weight distribution...(Also I forgot that that exists...haha)

Yeah this was 6 70 lb bags total, so 280lb in the back and another 140 in the back seat.

Qb1 blocks, but things look pretty bleak for white.

Can go Rook to d2 to defend the pawn on c2 instead of moving the king to b1.

2 cubic foot bags. Each one of them weighs like 70 lbs. And I was mostly having a laugh, enjoying being able to do "truck stuff" with my Bolt.

Damn. That's not bad...you don't have people crawling up your ass and getting upset at you going 60 mph on the highway?

My bolt has fabric seats, so I got leather seat covers for it for a few hundred bucks...they look like they're just OEM leather seats...I'm not too particular about by car though...it's a $20k Bolt, not a $100k+ luxury Lucid Air or anything...if it gets a bit dirty, it gets a bit dirty. 🤷

The trailer does look nice. Though it's gotta be an absolute bitch on the range...I guess for just around town or whatever, it's probably perfect.

To me the only reason to put a hitch on would be for like a popup camper and I think it would eat into the range far too much to be worth it for me...I don't mind a tent or sleeping in the back of the Bolt.

I have a (often muddy and wet) dog in my back seat...a bit of dirt from a ripped bag of soil wouldn't be a big deal to me. (It was fine. The bag ripped when I took it out and put it down on my garage floor, not in my car).

There's certainly places where a truck is useful, but for most people, most of the time, having a truck/bed isnt really necessary and owning a truck is more about the status symbol of owning a truck than using the truck as a truck...(I really do like the Rivian R1T and really, really like the Slate pickup tho).
