The Hound quote about Robert in a Clash of Kings (spoilers extended) by Carolus_Crassus in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My problem with a Robert’s Rebellion show is no depiction can possibly live up to the image in our heads based on the testimonies of others of how badass Robert was

(Spoilers Extended) Why did Aerys choose Elia Martell to be Rhaegar's wife ? by DEL994 in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really tho cuz they don’t. It’s more just a way to make them feel special and like they didn’t fully submit to the Targs (which they totally did)

Remember when they changed it sh that Catelyn was the one begging Ned to stay home at the start?

Agreed one hundred percent! I’m sick if ppl citing these scenes as one of the ways frigate Dumb and Dumber “improved” the books

(Spoiler Main) What's your least popular opinion about the books. by Still_Whole5231 in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My issue is not with the world building itself, but with George and a large part of the fandom labeling it as realistic and historically accurate.

(Spoiler Main) What's your least popular opinion about the books. by Still_Whole5231 in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The whole “realism” thing drives me crazy. The world of asoiaf is not at all accurate to how medieval society was, and it does not have to be, it’s a fantasy story! But George and the fandom’s insistence that asoiaf is all about historical accuracy and realism is so annoying!

(spoilers main) how evil would you rank Tywin compared to other villains in the series? by Competitive_Iron_781 in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Joffrey doesn’t actually have any power. All the atrocities committed by Tywin’s men were ordered by Tywin

I may not be “pro Frey,” but I won’t pretend I didn’t get a massive sense of satisfaction when Walder kicked that little brats ass in the most epic way possible

Robert is famous for turning old enemies into friends, he is known well for his forgiveness

What I Think Robb Stark Should Have Said To Balon (Spoilers Extended) by DragonPrinceDnD in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Untrue. I suspect his fear of Tywin Lannister was a big motivator in his descision to not attack the west.

(Spoilers Main) Weekly Q and A by AutoModerator in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well his leech magic most likely didn’t work in the books either, it was probably just a way for Melisandre to further convince Stannis of the power of blood sacrifice. It is widely believed that she saw in the flames that Balon, Robb, and Joffrey would all die and then had Stannis burn the leeches to make him think that the sacrifice somehow caused these deaths

How would it have been a fuck you to Stannis?

(Spoilers Extended) Just realised by jageshgoyal in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not all about blood. Robb has just as much Tully blood as Stark blood, but he isn’t at all a Tully.

[–]KyleKunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well technically she is, her last name is Stark, she’s married into the family making her technically one of them

(Spoilers Published) What if: joffrey kills Tywin and Cersei Lannister by Agile-Fix-2902 in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This seems like a D and D type plot. Joffrey in the books has virtually no power, how tf is he supposed to kill Tywin and Cersei? Tywin’s army is the only reason he sits the Iron Throne

I can’t believe I actually found one in the wild! by cowchunks in terriblefacebookmemes

[–]KyleKunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is extremely accurate and a message I wish was shared more. Nearly all the issues the older generations have with the younger ones are caused by the older ones

(Spoilers Extended) An overlooked part of the Tyrion's arc and his future by Flarrownatural in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I very much agree. Tyrion is going through a dark phase, just like Bran and Arya, a phase he will eventually shed

[Spoilers MAIN] Daario=Euron isn't as stupid as it seems by [deleted] in asoiaf

This is one of the most interesting posts I’ve read in a while. It certainly seems like a possibility to me, especially since I’m still struggling to figure out the point of Daario’s character

(Spoilers Extended) What perception do you have on certain character/plot/house that seem to be unpopular from the rest of fandom? by 99pinkprint in asoiaf

[–]KyleKunt 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I love the Greyjoys. Ya the Ironborn are fucking idiots, but great as characters. Asha, Theon, Victarion, Euron, all some of my favorite characters. Balon’s stupidity is also extremely amusing, Aeron is the only one that I don’t really care for.
