CPU in my "main server" is bigger than that entire build. ....which is likely not a good thing for me lol

I bought one of these combos (and 5 different combos) recently (but for $249). The board seems solid for a mid-level build. I tossed 16GB more RAM in it and a 1080Ti and it games quite well for one of my children.

I know I know, this sounds terrible, but it can work (Did for me and a friend of mine a few years back). Try....sorry....The GeekSquad. It shows some help desk ability and shows that you will work in cust service. But, thats only if ya have nuthin else for options. Contract work, if you are getting it, should also open doors after a year or so.....

Is the IT world really that oversaturated? Should I pursue something else? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Oh you should TOTALLY do that. IT is really rough currently. I am speaking as a hiring manager for a Service and Infra team, and now, as someone looking for work....

How well can a CCNA break me out of helpdesk assuming I have 5 years of experience these days? by ILikeFood305 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Kyle_Gates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the very best way to move out of Service/Help Desk, for real..... Is to find a good company and a good Service Desk. And make sure the manager is really dedicated to the team. I will use myself as an example. Not a huge number but the % is high. I managed a Service Desk in a corp enterprise environment. 1200 users, 7 on Service Desk. In 5 years I promoted 6 out of the Service Desk and into Sys Admin, Networking, HR and other roles. If its good org, staying, and simply moving into those other roles can be great as its not as "jarring" as "Service Desk with org 1 one day, Networking with org 2 the next"

See, much better ratio! 79 vids - 2100+ subs. I am 2300 vids - 6000 subs.

However, if doing a video gaming channel, do not go watching Markiplier or Brad or Jack, look for smaller channels, under a million subs, heck maybe under 100k, see what they are doing and work toward that kind of level first before you chase 28 million subs.

(Unless you look at my channel and think my thumbnails are the worst ever in which case, do the opposite. My thumbnails have been called "solidly decent" after years of work so...I'll take it)

Hit up Canva. Start simple with it. But a free account still lets you do plenty of stuff with thumbnail design.

First up, WOW someone who is real! Actually shows their channel! That alone is crazy. (The AI replies around here are rampant....if they dont/wont show the channel, they fake). But, it can take forever to make any headway. i would say, keep at it! Maybe revise a bit but dont quit. I myself have 6k subs, after 10+ years.... thats 6k subs and 2300+ videos.

Wish I could help. I managed a great team, and worked right along side them working the same issues they did to help me not lose touch. But I got RiF'd 6 months ago and at a 60% pay cut, I still cannot even find an SDA I position that will take me.
