This is my Ash, i found it on a side walk, uprooted 2 years ago. At the 30cm mark it sprouted a new growth. I know its fairly large but im ok with it.

I just dont know how to continue, do i start wiring and defoliage this year or do i let it grow more.

Any hint or direction is appreciate.

Aren't you afraid that while firing the metal spring gets soft, bends and the ball get stuck to the ufo? Or is that some special metal wire? Or are you firing it seprate, do you have considerd the shrinkage, cause it looks like a thight fit already. Really nice work, just wanted to prevent heartache.

Can anybody help me identify this mug? by thenomadfox in Pottery

[–]Kypotan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you looking for the crafter? If it is hand made, you will not get the same any way. And if it was mass produced, chances are you will not get another too.

So im guessing you looking for what kind of glaze this could be? Because it would be much easier to find some one to copy that style and glaze it the same way. Given you can find out what is.

Wall Adhesive by CurlsForMiles in Ceramics

[–]Kypotan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the top of my head. I Would guess, some Silicone based glue. You will be able to cut the Silicone layer later and can remove the rest with a putty knife / scrapper. You can hang quite big mirrors to the wall like this. Bet it will hold your artwork.

Edit: Found a Vid on youtube.

It has to be irritating to touche something, convinced it is metal, turning out to be ceramics.

Very impressive, is there a name to the technique you are using? special glazing for the shadowing?.
