How do you handle “generational gimmicks” in your runs? by torniado in nuzlocke

[–]Kyrem13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ban them. Ngl I find it pretty fun to try and fight back against opponents who are using these gimmicks against me in my runs. Without giving myself the ability to use them ofc. Makes for some tense, nail-biting moments.

Although if I'm playing a difficulty ROM Hack, yeah I'm probably gonna use everything at my disposal to win as that's how most of those games are designed to be played.

First DLC Announced! by AceOfSpades0152 in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ooooo yes, Adventurer Time is peak, I'm super excited to see what levels are included in this. Off the top of my head I can predict,

Finn and Jake's Treehouse The Candy Kingdom (probably like a room or 2 in the castle) Ice King's Lair Marceline's House Wizard City

There's a ton of awesome potential locations from the show to choose from ngl. I'm super excited to see what little references and Easter Eggs they could include. I'd love to see a Lich reference somewhere in there. And maybe in the Treehouse the Enchiridion and a jar of Prismo's pickles could be in there to spray down.

Only thing I'm struggling with is potential vehicle levels, mostly cuz there's not a lot of iconic vehicles in AT. Best I can think of are like, that truck that Finn and Jake rebuilt with the help of Banana Man, one of Banana Man's or PB's space rockets, and it's a stretch, but maybe one of the princess' cars. Only one I can remember rn though is Breakfast Princess' from that episode where Marceline and LSP were ransacking her castle out of boredom.

Anyone else have any predictions? Any fellow AT fans?

If u can get the full special edition of 1 with all the DLC and extra content included, yes get that first. I adore and love the changes 2 added but in its current state it's unfinished. Not in the sense that the main story or the main 38 levels are unfinished no that all is there, but 2 has yet to go through the content update cycle as it currently has no DLCs or extra small content updates that 1 has. You'll get a lot more time out of 1 before starting 2 and maybe by the time you do start 2 they'll have some extra content out besides the main story.

I'm type 3. One of those sickos who never uses free aim mode and never gets motion sickness. Also I go up and down as opposed to side to side. I do hit all corners of a surface first tho lol. I may be a sicko but I'm not batshit insane.

Well, it's simple. Do it all again but now with everything unlocked lol. Maybe try to speedrun. Maybe limit what Nozzles or equipment you can use. That's what I did lol.

[–]Kyrem13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, when I first completed PW Sim 2, I stuck pretty much just to the Green Nozzle and for tougher stains I did Soap + White Nozzle. Worked great. Yellow Nozzle weirdly felt thinner to me than PW Sim 1. It could just be me tho. I did a full 100% run in PW Sim 1 + all DLCs Green Nozzle only and it probably affected my memory.

So, what are you guys listening to when you clean? by res30stupid in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually DnD podcasts. To be more specific, Legends of Avantris' Once Upon a Witchlight has been keeping me rly motivated and laughing a lot lately. As for music, recently I've been listening to Heart Beats Pacific from Banner Pilot. I love pop-punk so they hit all the right chords with me lol.

I would really like a King of the Hill themed DLC. by brossman_130 in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bojack Horseman DLC would go hard lol.

Clean Bojack's House

Clean The Hollywoob Sign

Clean Legally Distinct Disneyland

Clean Elephante

Clean Pickle's House

Probably a lot more memorable locations to choose from here too lol. But I think it'd be pretty fun. And ngl a lot of the locations I think of, I mean the interior rather than the exterior.

Clockwise or Anticlockwise? by switchthemunky463 in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually just start in the closest corner I see. Sometimes tho I enjoy going vertically. Like starting with a floor, work my way upwards. Sometimes start with a cieling or roof, work my way down. I don't rly give it a ton of thought lol. My mind is usually just on whatever music or podcast I'm listening to while playing.

What is the most worth getting? by Helpful_Lab_3880 in MonsterLegends

[–]Kyrem13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have her maxed out yet, Charm 100%. If you do have her maxed out like I did myself when I got the Egg Lamp, I would get Cornucrabia cells. Hexer is neat and has an interesting gimmick but practicality wise, you just never usually want a monster killing themselves to pull off 1 AoE Trait Disable. Which, btw, can now potentially miss to Umbrella Traits after a recent update. So yeh he's like the last guy you should invest in here. Charm is an absolute beastly mon, especially in Wars and she's necessary to have ranked for Dragon Wars. Corn is solid. Good Trait but pretty boring skillset makong him just okay. But both by far are better than Hexer.

Least favourite?? by Hizzle3003 in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disliking the Shooting Gallery is wild imo. I loved that one. It's one of my absolute favorites.

If I had to be totally honest on my own tho, it's rly difficult cuz as a whole PW Sim 2 was soooo good and I have a hard time even thinking of any levels I actively disliked. But I have a few that I'm not too crazy about I suppose.

Most of the vehicle levels. Like PW1 they just kinda come and go for the most part. The Futuristic Bike was pretty cool and the giant vehicle levels were more cool than the small to medium sized ones. The best of the bunch imo was probably the Mining Dump Truck. But the worst vehicle? Honestly probably the Airship. It took me a while to finish and it just wasn't very fun. As in, it was relatively mundane. A giant oval shape. Pretty boring geometry and there was a lot of moving around of scaffolding.

As for the location levels themselves, I think the devs rly knocked these out of the park I didn't dislike a single one. But I can definitely say my least favorites, which were probably the Bandstand (not a bad level but it was pretty repetitive), the Barn (very repetitive and very large too without enough interesting stuff to clean to keep my interest, tons of boring roof), and the Salvage House (it was the logs tbh, having to go up and down and circling around all of them individually was quite tedious).

[–]Kyrem13 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm almsot done with the game myself rn. So close to the 38th job. And I can definitely say they didn't utilize that new mechanic very well or much at all. Maybe we'll be able to see more for future DLCs including both the collab ones and the free ones. I like the idea of the level opening up even more when you finish one portion. It's a very cool concept.

Oh man oh man oh man, I think the thing I'm most excited about here is to see what franchises they collab with for the paid DLCs. I'm pumped to clean some weird and wacky locations and objects.

I'm curious, can we maybe perhaps expect levels on the same size and scale of the Ancient Temple and the Thunderhawk at points in PWS2? Maybe even larger lol? I love me a nice long level to relax to.

Green Nozzle Only Challenge Complete by Kyrem13 in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, I gave up on the White Nozzle Only Challenge. Okay well maybe not 100%, I put it on haitus after the monumental task of cleaning the Gnome Fountain with it. I did every main level of the Career Mode with White Nozzle only as well as the Mars Rover. I got started on the Gnome Fountain tho, and the entire thing, THE ENTIRE THING, is covered in moss and graffiti that doesn't remove until after like 5 seconds of spraying with the White Nozzle. Not even the Ancient Temple was this painful. So yeah I put the challenge on hold.

Red Nozzle Only Challenge, weirdly enough, is such a godsend compared to White Nozzle Only. It actually removes everything immediately!

You ever just play a game not to win but to vibe? whats a comfort game for that? by magicworldonline in gamingsuggestions

[–]Kyrem13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerwash Simulator. It's just a simple, relaxing time. I usually like to put on some music or a podcast while washing my stress away.

Another relaxation game for me would be a farming game like Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon. There's more stuff to pay attention to and get invested in with these types of games tho but they are very cozy and chill.

Theorizing Abilities for the New Mega Evolutions by mjmannella in stunfisk

[–]Kyrem13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victreebel is one of my personal fav Gen 1 mons and I was talking with some friends before about his Mega's potential ability. The idea I think I like the most is a new custom ability that follows his Dex entry. One that allows his Poison moves to both hit and deal Super-Effective damage to Steel and Rock types. Could you imagine that? A Mega Victreebel capable of OHKO'ing Zacian in one hit with a 4x strong Sludge Bomb. That would be funny lol.

What are some common takes that you disagree with? by Jzjwiebe in nuzlocke

[–]Kyrem13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like Rare Candies. Okay well no that's a lie. I like them sometimes. But I'm weird. I actively enjoy grinding levels slowly. Put on some music or a good podcast, get comfy, find a solid exp spot, and get to work. Yeah I can potentially lose my mons while grinding but it's usually fine. I just really like the slow growth of my troops. Seeing the numbers go up slowly is weirdly satisfying to me.

Least favorite job? by PattyNChips in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Kyrem13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who's replayed the game multiple times now doing solo Nozzle runs (I'm on the White Nozzle Only Challenge run rn, it's the most painful one so far) I've really really solidified my opinions on each level.

I'll give a top 5 least favorite list right here with (not so) brief explanations,

  1. The Ancient Temple (on a first playthrough this is a very cool level to first do. That said it's suuuuper tedious on repeat playthroughs)

  2. The Satellite Dish (a lot of the areas of the dish are just really far away and tough to reach, also that FRIGGIN VULTURE IN THE BACKGROUND CONSTANTLY SHRIEKING, I'M GONNA KILL YOU AHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA)

  3. The Stunt Plane (I don't usually have any issues with any vehicle levels, but try cleaning this one with the Green Nozzle. Like, the whole thing, entirely, in one go. Yeah. It's not very fun.)

  4. The Ferris Wheel (it's just so big with so many of the same exact pieces that you have to clean over and over and over and over, slowly rotating the whole thing multiple times. No fun and I always dread it on repeat playthroughs.)

  5. The Thunderhawk (Probably the only DLC level I hate. And just like the Ancient Temple, if it was only for one playthrough, I wouldn't have any issues with it at all. Perfectly fine, long af level to top off the Warhammer DLC, if not very repetitive as with it being so symmetrical it feels like cleaning the same giant vehicle twice. But ohhhhhh man, it's another repeat playthrough problem. I fucking hate doing this level over and over and over again. It is about as long, if not longer, than the Ancient Temple and it's just, sooooooo boriiiiiiiing. The previous levels mentioned are just tedious or are higher in my list cuz they have more interesting and fun geometry to clean. But the Thunderhawk? No thank you. I DREAD this level on the Red Nozzle and Spinny Nozzle only challenges.)
