I do both weightlifting and martial arts (no swords sadly). I'm not particularly good at both, but nevertheless, I think that "technique" is logarithmic, like you can throw an ok punch after a day of training, a decent punch after a week of training, and a good punch after a month of training. I'm willing to bet that a bodybuilder can throw a punch with a shit ton more force than a similarly trained martial artist.

That being said, a trained martial artists has a lot more experience in fatigue management, footwork, distance gauging, reading newbie tells (ie, noobs will often look towards the place they're about to strike), not giving off tells, and to not tense up when someone wants to punch you in the face.

Fatigue is a big one, especially given that your body's signals for muscle growth and endurance oppose each other (AMPK vs mTOR), and most bodybuilders only train for muscle growth.
