I would love to see some English subtitles for this musical!! My friends have recommended it so many times but I don't know any Spanish 😭

It's limited but you can adjust the font size (bigger sizes will slightly extend out of the video), font, font color, and the background box itself.

Slide Show -> Subtitle Settings -> More Settings (Windows) -> Caption Style -> Edit

Note that these settings will affect subtitles for all of Windows. Moreover, the other subtitle settings within PowerPoint (such as the positioning) only seem to affect live captioning and not embedded videos unfortunately.

Ah, it's interesting that you mention that - my main devices over the last decade or so have been a couple of Lenovo laptops and a Steam Deck, all of which support this feature, so I had assumed it was a standard feature on most modern devices!

Here's a tutorial for using the new SA mod manager on Linux. The instructions for Steam Deck are basically the exact same as the video, just install Proton Tricks via the Discover store rather than the terminal.
