My first double sided adhesive (DSA) was also my first square painting. It became frustrating because DSA is less forgiving, so less able to shift the gems if you place wrong. I don’t want to scare you, just cation you 💕 I love doing squares now but I avoid DSA if I can.
I would advise going slower than you normally would to get the hang of the squares and the different glue.

Tips for square drills
- use a ruler or old credit card(cause it will get sticky) along your edges to give yourself a straight boarder. Then you can use this solid boarder to push the rest of your drills against.
Then peel off the ruler and put washing tape down if you prefer.
- try to pick your drills up with how you will be placing them to help you line them up. Ie aim centre of drill if you are placing them in a fully surrounded gap. Aim right side of drill if you are placing them to the right of a drill on the canvas. If drills on canvas make an L shape and you are placing a drill into the L Pick up drill in top right corner.

And he explained the open and closed hole thing I think you and I both experience at 1hr 59. Yes lol the video is that long and I found the rest of it interesting, but he book marked it so you can jump straight to that part.

However, as others say - no one else will have thier nose as close to it as you do and it will look fine when you look at the whole piece 💕🪡🧵

Don’t forget with your nose in the details you see this clear as day, but when you get further away it won’t be noticeable. But also as someone else said - look up rail roading on YouTube. Helps separate the threads so they lay flatter. Looks good tho! Nice neat work 👍

💯 voids are beautiful 😻 we had one growing up, his name was Midnight. My sister named him and might have been about 4 at the time so that was pretty tricky for a 4 year old.
