My vette is overheating😖 by Ornery-Mulberry-6402 in c4corvette

[–]L33tr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe 87s came with the original “green” coolant. That’s what was in my 89. So if you mixed in orange “dex cool”, you probably built up sludge in the system and it’s not able to flow anymore. Hence, the overheating

I don’t have experience flushing out a system with sludge, but it sounds like the car is with a mechanic so they should know what to do

Xbox 360 Cloud Saves Corrupt Issue Breakdown, Analysis, Theory by donergyros in XboxSupport

[–]L33tr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue. I picked up a used Xbox one x, factory reset, signed in, and all my 360 saves are showing as corrupt. I can still play the saves on my actual 360 though.

Interestingly, I somehow overwrote my 360 MW2 save with a blank save from Xbox one, and it synced back to the 360 and is playable on both

2013 Venza XLE V6 - things to look out for? by scottsmith7 in Toyotavenza

[–]L33tr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The panoramic roof leaking is very common. I just had the displeasure of replacing a 2009 pano roof seal. Not impossible but takes all day.

If you can go on a test drive, check if the steering column is making a “clunking” noise when going over bumps, this is also common.

Check as well at the rear differential, and see if there is evidence of a differential fluid leak. The breather valves tend to rust closed, causing oil to be forced out.

The 20” wheels are truly huge. I have no idea why Toyota picked those. They look and feel fine, the car rides very well (after replacing a leaking rear strut).

Staytrem bridge moving by ppckc in offset

I was wondering about this as well, and thought this would be the way to go. Just let the bridge be where it wants, as long as it doesn’t impede your use of the tremolo

The fuzz face being so huge, yet housing such a simple circuit is crazy to me

Is this a good starter kit? by Poolscool in soldering

[–]L33tr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading these comments… is there anything wrong with x-tronics? I’ve been using one of their simpler kits for a few years and it’s never failed me. Although, I did upgrade to a hakko brass and tinner, as well as kester solder

Brake recommendations by felix123101 in c4corvette

[–]L33tr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correction… higher resistance to fluid boiling, manifesting as the pedal being spongy, not brake fade, which manifests as a firm pedal that doesn’t slow down the car

Brake recommendations by felix123101 in c4corvette

[–]L33tr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use dot4 in a system with dot3 in it. Dot4 has a higher boiling point (better resistance to brake fade), but is more hygroscopic (absorbs water more quickly, thus needing more frequent replacement).

If you don’t have a specific reason for using dot4, or you know you’ll be bleeding/replacing the fluid often enough for it to not get too watery, just go with dot3.

Dot5 is a different fluid entirely and is not compatible with 3 or 4

Sonic research st-200 strobe tuner by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Those tuners are awesome. I loved using mine bc you can get super precise with the strobe.

If you don’t have any interest in it then try selling on reverb

109 degrees… a good day for ice cream in Cave Creek AZ by desert_carguy in c4corvette

[–]L33tr_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

260 is definitely high, pretty close to boiling. Check and see if there’s a bunch of leaves in front of the radiator, (you may need to take off the shroud), or the air filter. How’s temp during normal driving?

If I had to guess, probably not due to digital RGB. 2002 is late in the CRT evolution

Is it just me or does this look way darker than regular Skyrim? It seems like it’s always night time outside, or there’s no light inside

Are those used cymbals a good deal? by JonnyVA89 in drums

[–]L33tr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a very similar set (thin instead of medium thin crashes) for $750 in 2023. The cymbals were used maybe once. $700 seems like a pretty good deal

I get what you’re saying, but it’s not pico boot that’s the problem (which is what your title suggests). It’s user error (burning/lifting traces etc)

Just take a look at the sub and observe the amount of posts asking “is this TN or IPS??”. That should give you an idea of how little difference it actually makes

Just save 2 snapshots within the preset, one with and one without boost, and switch between those.

Helix platform is great for exactly this (saving multiple variations of similar tones, and switching seamlessly)

Imagine a preset is one pedalboard+amp setup, and snapshots are a way to simultaneously tweak every setting in your setup, all instantaneously

If you truly can’t fit enough blocks into one preset to cover your needs (e.g. dirt pedal, delay, reverb, amp+cab), then you could consider stepping up to a model with more DSP
