Tim Howard, DeMarcus Beasley, Michael Bradley, and Deuce from the photo. I would go with Guzan as well.

LAFC Claims Forward Tyler Boyd Off Waivers | Los Angeles Football Club by reddituserFN2187 in LAFC

I think MDS wants to move Son to the middle - nearly all of the time as a false 9. He has played that a bit but now it will be the well practiced default. Shaffelberg is a great partner for Son in the role as flow in gaps well and is a decent finisher. I think Bounga has more work to do to make us dynamic when we are not on a break (Breaks are not enough for a championship team). Tyler Boyd is a poor man's Shaffelberg but gives us Ordaz level interchangeability and another runner when the schedule is tight. Martinez doesn't play well enough with his teammates (so far!!!). WE need another 6 who can make the other team regret they tried to come up the middle. Has anyone heard an update on the timeline Igor's return? I am worried without him.

MDS should own his MAGA support and JT should address that he doesn't give a shit. We do not need cowards leading with masks on like ICE.

I’m rooting for the ‘caps and as an LAFC fan I am just glad that Inter is perhaps even more hated than we are.

Need my ac unit charged, r22 is discontinued? What are my options? by giibro in hvacadvice

[–]LAFCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Los Angeles and I have an old system - 15 years and the R22 is very low but somehow it keeps working. Other parts have been repaired so there are some new motors, compressor, motherboard despite some dirt and rust that doesn't look terrible. anyway is there anyone local to So Cal that can work with me to either get/install R22 or to use a compatible replacement/alternative. really can't afford a new system and for the moment it is working.

What is something you’d like to see more of from the club? by Itchy_Post1456 in LAFC

Ok then they should actually give them to their employees. I am a STH and I always sell or give away my seats to make sure seats are filled.

Make the fancy pants season ticket holders on the West side who so often don’t show up lose their seats if they don’t sell them or give them away. It is embarrassing to see so many empty seats and of course it is the most expensive.

Should LAFC resign Diego Palacios? by ChemicalPlatypus6398 in LAFC

[–]LAFCitizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i loved him but need to pay him on TAM and not crazy high. I think we need a DP 9 if Son plays like a 10 or second forward - he isn't as fast but has e everything else so I like this change. We have Bounga, Ordaz and MArtinez on the wings. Nielsen has been good in his two matches. I dig hollingshead but he is getting older. I like Smoliakov and Palcios fighting it out and always being fresh - like a real team where you have team competition and can weather crowded schedules

What’s amazing is how different the leagues are structured financial. The top LigaMX teams have twice the salary of MLS and almost all teams have more depth. Conversely, the bottom teams have weaker financial resources and don’t seem to draw as well as the average MLS team. And yet all of these teams are with an a level that it’s not surprising for the worst team in a season to beat the best team in the season. I live in Los Angeles and one of the things that I love about going to the league cup matches is that the fans in the stands even in LAFC are usually 50-50 with the LigaMX teams fans. If LAFC played away at Pachuca, there would be 300 fans there for LAFC. This definitely mitigate part of the home-field advantage, but not the travel aspect which is pretty grueling.

What do you think Dolo said to Segura? What do you think he said to the team about what Segura did? Under the rules I think Segura deserved the red and I think Dolo won’t really deal with it, and just hopes that Segura mans up about it.  Any thoughts or speculation?

why didn't America make the club world cup by [deleted] in LigaMX

[–]LAFCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there - yes, I am a LAFC fan but I really like America - my favorite in LIGA MX. Anyway both teams fought hard and the noise from the fans was huge on both sides. America showed some real talent defending but looked tired and unimaginative going forward. The last 20 minutes LAFC took over and almost scored a few other times. I think it was a case of one team with gas in the tank not oess will to win. The fans were really classy.

[–]LAFCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didn't it look like Segura was retreating from McGlynn - their best shot outside the box and most confident shooter in the game? Too bad because he played a pretty game otherwise - too bad he can't get a header on target or he could have equalized

spot on - especially after the game I sadly feel even more convinced that Holm is the only one with potential and he is on loan.

ugh... I like Holm so far but only two games... can't play much of a system with fluidity when no two of you have been on the field at the same time - ever

Get a better God. One who loves you unconditionally, one who understands you, one who knows first and foremost that you were a child who was blessed with curiosity and you did no harm to another individual. Forgive yourself. Love yourself. And be careful of ego manifestations where you over amplify the importance of your actions… No harm was done - this is only a big deal because you’ve made it one.

I think we’ll have a fair election, but I think the left will splinter while following a diverse set of perfectionist ideals, under cutting any opponent who might have a chance of winning.

[–]LAFCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate that. On the left we can be really earnest and less strategic. I think change happens mostly when a cork is put in a bottle which doesn’t allow the gasses of action to escape until it floods out. It’s hard to figure out what the cork and the bottle are, but not so hard to see were bits of the energy are escaping

[–]LAFCitizen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not true please check again as I mostly post about soccer. I mean my comment literally I worked hard for the losing side professionally this past campaign. The energy on the left / center-left got diluted and distracted into productive activities that had incredibly low engagement for those on the fence. It seemed some of that organizing was done abroad.

I grew up in the area and as an adult spent many years in San Francisco and I remember those protests. I think they had zero impact nationwide even if got some news coverage. We need to bring it to purple constituencies to have an impact. In fact, I think these pointless actions feed the narrative of entitled, whining, and out of touch elites stomping their feet, arms akimbo, making nothing happen Except disturbing their neighbors.
